Peace that’ll Never Happen

I had blogged earlier about our Prime Minister’s efforts to placate bargain peace with the neighbouring Terrorist State. Somehow, the image of India as a "soft" state never seems to leave us. From Nehru right up to Atalji no one has dared–except perhaps during the wars–to stand up to Pakistan and "sock" it to them. Of course, Indira’s name shouldn’t be forgotten, but then she too goofed up at Shimla and gave Z. Bhutto what he wanted.

My firm conviction is that we can NEVER have peace with the Rogue Nation that, as Sita Ram Goel says, was solely created to complete the unfinished business of Islamizing India. Perhaps, the reason why the Terror Architect (aka "President" Musharaff) seems to be responding is because of United States’ pressure on him (well, I’m guessing here, but we all know where earlier peace efforts have gone), or perhaps for other reasons that I am not aware of.

Another conviction of mine is that as a nation, Pakistan has no identity of its own. From a historical perspective, Pakistan belonged to India, and the India of today–whatever the international community may say–isn’t a whole. For those who came late, it was created with the aim of providing a homeland for (Indian) muslims. Did it? Identity crises, cultural and sectarian violence are still rife within the country.

The Rogue General really has no control over many parts of his own country–the Afghan border, for one, and the countless terrorist brands, the mullahs, for another. His only armoury is his loyal(?) armed forces, the daily dosage of lies he feeds to the media, begging before the US, and promotion/protection of all kinds of terrorists. Does he have any realistic plans to improve the Paki economy, work for the betterment of his citizens, or work towards building an atmosphere of peace within the subcontinent? If the answer to any of these questions is "Yes," then the peace problem will automatically take care of itself.

There’s no point in having innumerable dialgoues, conferences, summits, what-have-you, unless either the Terrorist State sincerely stops its thuggish activities, or India displays courage to go on a perpetual offensive against the terrorists, like Israel–keep mowing ‘em down till there aren’t any more left.

The mainstream tabloids in India should know better than keep dishing out "informed" pieces, op-eds, and analyses. At the end, the fault lies not so much with Hoodlum Musharaff or his mullahs, but in the ideology which inspires them all–Islam. In this, he is as much a a terrorist as Bin Laden.
