The Kolkata Libertarian is back with a short, pithy post after nearly a month-long hiatus. He writes a provoking piece about the incompetence/cluelessness of the current government in power:
This is probably the most unstable coalition government in Indian history. I give them less than a year before the internal alliances corrupt key players and collapse under the weight of political angst. The old-guard communists are playing a very dangerous game, driven by their fear of the BJP-Hinduvta alliance more than love of their own ideology.
And concludes with
Till then, if you have money invested in India, I suggest for your own sake you pull out for now. The new government does not have the first clue how to play hard and nice in the world economy
And did I mention that his new weblog design is much better than the old one? Tags: General

Unfortunately, I don’t think the govt will collapse very early - they might even last the 5 years. Reason being *there is a replacement* in the form of BJP/NDA. The current thugs-in-arm have been out of power for quite some time and would like to rake the money in while the going is good. Ideology etc is okay when the seats are safe. Not in a situation where the opposition is this strong & can easily take the next election (if internal politics brings down the govt)

The Kolkata Liberatarian is slightly wrong when he says that “The old-guard communists are playing a very dangerous game, driven by their fear of the BJP- Hinduvta alliance”. They are driven NOT by fear of the BJP but by the hatred of it. Marxism in its essence is an ideology of hate.

RR,
Well said! The Ideology of Hate has ended up doing pretty badly all over the world
To paraphrase Shakespeare, evil first destroys good, converts the whole world to evil and finally, destroys itself.
However, it is a slow process in reality; but it’ll happen in India, too.
