It struck me as strange that most of the hottest selling Indian 4-stroke motorcycle brands have an “R” as their ending letter. Here’s a partial list:
- Splendor
- Pulsar
- Caliber
- Enticer
- Eliminator (very expensive but it commands a monopoly in its segment)
- Boxer
Before anyone jumps at me, I am aware that very few “non-R” bikes have been pretty successful:
- Hero Honda CD 100
- CBZ (to an extent, mostly when it was the only bike in its segment but was soon overtaken by the likes of Pulsar and Fiero)
- Fiero
And there’s the list of the unsuccessful “non-R” bikes:
- Dawn
- Joy
- Ambition
- Wind 125
- Freedom
- LML Energy
I’m just curious if any connection exists between the success of a bike and the letter R, used at the end?
