Rajeev Srinivasan dares to ponder over the value of a Hindu life. He takes elaborate pains to compare its value with that of a Muslim and Christian life but the attempt is pointless because he arrives at the conclusion we all know:
To spell out the obvious -– a Hindu’s life is without value as far as politicians and the Government are concerned.
Almost 85% of India’s population is Hindu. A hundred killed here and there is but a drop in the ocean. There are milliions more to go before Hindus become Endangered Species. I’m reminded of this famous “environmentalist” statement:
Only when the last tree has died and the last river been poisoned and the last fish been caught will we realise we cannot eat money.
Think of how it might apply in the Hindu context and rephrase accordingly.
