On Translating Bhartruhari and Suchlike

I owe the inspiration of this post to the learned Jaffna who left a comment on my Bhartruhari post. And so I’ve abandoned the idea of doing a part-two post on Bhartruhari; instead, I’ll try to post a translation of at least one verse from Niti Shataka followed by Vairagya Shataka everyday. Eventually, you’ll be able to find these arranged as a pseudo-table of contents in my sidebar.

Not at all! I’ve read that site earlie but that’s more of a review of a translated book. That site does have few translated verses but not all are from B.hari. My focus/intent here is to try and provide the translation of all the verses in Niti and Vairagya.

Indeed, you are right. I was only intending to point to those few verses – which I had found inspiring. No conflicts.
