Left forces quota everywhere except home turf

Red-ruled States not to follow Arjun’s agenda —- The CPI (M)-led Left Front may have armtwisted the UPA Government to announce 27 per cent quote for OBCs in institutions of higher education from June 2007, but it is not prepared for the same in States like West Bengal, Kerala and Tripura where it rules.

This follows a familiar pattern: the Comrades protest vehemently on the national stage over privatization/liberalization but quietly let the evil capitalists inside West Bengal through the back door. This is no different. There are of course, justifications for every act of hypocrisy, in this case it is
