Conclave of Tyrants

Sunday, 17. September 2006 - 9:29 PM

What would you call a meeting, which is graced by such eminences as Musharaff, Hugo Chavez, and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad? Conclave of Tyrants isn’t too far off the mark. To such gathering goes India, cowering, cringing for acceptance.

And the media, naturally experiences a massive orgasm.

“The leaders agreed that the peace process must be maintained,” said Singh, “and its success was important for both countries and the future of the entire region.” As expected, it has been agreed that Foreign Secretary-level talks, as part of the composite dialogue will be resumed, “at the earliest possible.”

Significantly, it has been agreed to put in place “an India-Pakistan anti-terrorism institutional mechanism to identify and implement counter-terrorism initiatives and investigations.” In getting Islamabad to accept this and ordering accelerated negotiations on all issues that divide the two nations, Singh has put politics back in command of the Pakistan policy.

Neither is this bootlicking behaviour new. Nehru set the pattern for all things cowardly, which his political posterity has followed. Appease terror. Damn your own country. What kind of Prime Minister shakes hands with a thug like Musharaff despite knowledge of his hand in almost all terror attacks on India?

My outrage against Manmohan Singh defies description.

And what a fall for a once-great civilization.

    Sandeep,

I was just reading B. Raman’s article on Rediff written in the similar vein.

One wonders where this stupidity and naivete of the PM is going to lead this country to!

The Indian establishment lacks the balls to stand up for India’s self-interests. They along with their hatchet men in the leftist scum dominated Indian media are now trying to sell their “sell-out” to the Indian people.

Thanks Ravindra, for that link :)

    Apropos Apollo,
Why don’t we simply dissolve the Parliament and declare President’s rule?

Manmohan and his leftists loony cohorts must be prevented at all cost from securing a victory for the Islamic thugs. THIS MEANS THAT EVEN ASSASINATIONS OF OUR “SECULAR AND DERANGED LEADERS” MUST BE USED TO PREVENT INDIA CAPITULATING TO THE PAKI-BASED ISLAMIC MURDERERS.

Watching the episode on the IC 814 hijack on National Geographic last night, brought back horrid memories of that very unfortunate event. Unfortunate for the victims of the hijack and unfortunate for this country, due to the price we are still paying for the release of the dreaded terrorists!

Makes one think, why don’t we have a policy to bump off such rogues once they are captured, instead of pampering them in prisons for years together?

Ravindra, The Russians (sending terrorists balls to their HQ after they assissinated Russian diplomat in Beirut) and Chinese (just shoot them in the head the next morning after capture) do that.

For one we are a nation of laws and if captured they have to be prosecuted per law (political interference doesn’t help as well as repel of laws like POTA). When we do occasionally bump off a naxalite (in an encounter) or a terrorist in car chase, there is immense pressure on the poor police to explain their actions (and transfers and demotions). Even the army has to explain their actions. Not a bad thing, per se, in peacetime.
