More on Dupuis

Thanks to a reader, I dug little deeper about Dupuis, who was shunted out from the Holy place he spent his lifetime serving.

However, the publication in 1997 of his book Towards a Christian Theology of Religious Pluralism brought about a clash with the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. He was subjected to a [...]

The Mummy Declines

Poor Mummy, look what has become of her:

“Her blood pressure has fallen. She is complaining of muscle cramps and also pain in the chest and the abdomen. But she is refusing to take oral fluids with medicine and food supplement. She has been given respiratory support,” Sudershan Ghosh Dastidar, who is leading the seven-member medical [...]

More on Baap Ki Jaagir

I suppose the Congress party doesn’t want to shed its Muslim-appeaser image. So our Prime Minister has simply added more battery to his Baap ki Jaagir line. The justifications grow increasingly specious, proportionate to the desperation.

Unfazed by the BJP’s charge of Muslim “appeasement” and continuing with his recent tendency to confront political issues head-on, Prime [...]

Campus Battlefields

Hats off to whoever coined BIMARU. These are indeed “BIMAR” (diseased) states. I guess we’ll do well to simply trash these states, leave them to their own. They’ll blow each other up till nothing is left, and then the good guys can move in and start afresh.

The political class in Uttar Pradesh may see nothing [...]

Or What they Try to Conceal

The Mighty Vatican doesn’t want to admit that it is fighting a do-or-die battle.

Indian Catholic priests and nuns are increasingly in demand in the West, which has a dearth of new recruits

The flow of missionaries is now from East to West, over 20,000 Indians serve in Catholic institutions in Europe, US […] India is proving [...]

Analysis of the Day

Here’s some terrific analysis of the Verbal Terrorist’s machinations:
Through her words only one theme emerges and that of extreme indignity of being ruled by Hindus. You see, for an Anglo it is very difficult to live in a country dominated by heathens. They have no respect for us Hindu fascists. Indeed their churches do not [...]

Sharing the Fun

I remarked I had great fun reading the recent Clash of Apologists. I decided it’d be selfish if I didn’t share the fun with you. So here goes.
Let’s examine words of the Leftist eminence typist who started itall.

Clash of Apologists

One socialist eminence who calls himself a “Typist” writes an apology to Babar, and another–unsure if he’s a socialist–in an attempt to answer the Typist, pens a longer, more insipid apology.
Such fun!
More when I have spare time on hand.

Actors not Just Onscreen

This was inevitable.
Film actor Sanjay Dutt, held guilty for possessing arms in the 1993 bomb blast case, on Thursday arrived at the TADA court which would hear his plea seeking time to surrender. Dutt’s lawyers are likely to seek a pardon for him on the grounds of good behaviour.

Movie Review: Tarka

Tarka (trans=Logic) launched one of the most amazing directors in Kannada cinema. Although it didn’t exactly set the box office ablaze, it signalled that Sunil Kumar Desai had arrived with his maiden directorial venture. A pity that Desai retired a couple of years ago.
Tarka is a suspense-thriller, murder-mystery and pscyhological-horror tale all rolled into one. [...]
