This blog has often been uncharitable to the Puppet Prime Minister but it looks like he has finally come on his own. Tired of being cornered by the Opposition on the Baap ka Jaagir–aka Muslims First–issue, he has roared defensively.
Rejecting outright the Opposition charge that the UPA government was appeasing Muslims, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said he was not apologetic about designing programmes for minorities.
Doesn’t matter how it is said as long as we get the message. But the best part follows:
The Prime Minister said in the long run and when all communities catch up in social indicators, there would be no need for such programmes.
Haven’t we heard this for about 60 years?

I did not hear any one of you speak about how you will provide jobs to physically challenged persons.” [...]
