The Acorn informs us of the renewed terror-threat in Kashmir but there’s some good news in parallel.
One of the Prime Minister’s Working Group on Jammu and Kashmir has suggested that the right of Kashmiri Pandits to return to the valley should be made a part of state policy.
The working group on confidence building measures across the sections of society also suggested that a comprehensive package including jobs should be prepared for rehabilitation of the migrants.
“The rights of Kashmiri Pandit migrants to return to the places of their original residence should be recognised without any ambiguity and made a part of the state policy,” the working group, headed by Mohammad Hamid Ansari, also chairman of the National Commission for Minorities, said in a report.
At least not everybody in the UPA is braindead. The next step should be to abolish the nefarious Article 370.
