I dare not disobey Atanu. Here’s the list of eight random things about me:
The Random Facts About Me:
- When I was 20, I wrote a letter to my parents informing them that I’ll be going to Bombay to become a Bollywood script writer.
- I took part in pro-Kannada riots when I was in college. My friend’s dad was a top-ranking cop. The two are NOT related.
- I was trained to become a Chartered Accountant.
- I love listening to melancholic music.
- I lost my way in a forest for three days.
- I’d rather be the sentinel at the gate than the Prime Minister.
- I firmly believe that cynicism is the best antidote to depression.
- In school, I planned to cover the whole of Bangalore by foot. I got as far as Chamarajpet before abandoning the idea.
Phew!
The Rules:
1. Each player starts with 8 random facts/habits about themselves.
2. People who are tagged, write a blog post about their own 8 random things, and post these rules.
3. At the end of your post you need to tag 8 people and include their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment and tell them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.
4. If you fail to do this within eight hours, you will not reach Third Series or attain your most precious goals for at least two more lifetimes.
The People:
1. MadMan: for getting me hooked to blogging and for a lot of other private reasons.
2. Ravikiran: for his clarity of thought. His blog is all but defunct now but when he resurrects it, I hope he’ll do his tagging bit.
3. The Acorn: for his analyses–the idiots in our various think-tanks would do well to read his blog.
4. JK: let’s give historians their due. Great topical blog, superb follow-up skills and regular Commie-bashing. Heh heh.
5. Nilu: for being the Indian blogsphere’s bad boy.
6. Deepti: for writing so well and well…being a good friend.
7. Gaurav: for his acerbic comments on this blog and posts on his own.
8. Barbar Indians: for sticking to his stand.

I took part in pro-Kannada riots… So that’s the guy who screamed at me “kongaa; down, down” when he heard the shopkeeper reply in Tamizh to my weak but determined Kannada!
“I took part in pro-Kannada riots…”
So did you take part in any violence?
Was someone hurt or killed because of you?
Are you responsible for someone else’s property getting damaged?

I lost my way in a forest for three days.
Why don’t you write about it? (ofcourse only if you’d like to share the experience
)
