An outstanding monograph.The lie of the dravidianists is nailed. Sri Rama is mentioned — aha, in Tamil secular literature — yes, from Sangam days. It also rubbishes, so mellifluently, the propaganda that Rama is anti-Siva. Thevaram and Thiruasagam show Ravana as demon and Sri Rama as valliant hero. Mu Ka type of people should know that Ravana was a brahmana, a samskrta pandita and a worshipper of S’iva. Mu Ka should explain how Ravana becomes his and his followers’ hero.

Balaji is another one of the guys who suffer from stockholm syndrome.
When oppression increases to an intolerable extent, victim starts sympathising with the torturer.
Same is the case with his hero Kamalhassan.

They still believe in aryan invasion myth. Gimme a break. Rama was black, so was Krishna. So how come white aryans worshipped them. One can point out thousand deficiencies in aryan invasion myth.
Instead of digging the race to divide people, try something different.

Project stopped in your State ? Eh ? A dredging project in mid-sea is “your state”. So if tomorrow J&K decides to allow itself to be annexed by Pakistan, we should be mute spectators right ?

Stop having such narcissist views about what is your state and dont decide by yourself on who has locus standi and who hasnt.

And dont worry about India. We’ll take care of it without your “help”.

I think this is a political attempt to create differences between the North and the South Indians. The divide has been vanishing due to integration, but the politicians like MK revives these with irrelevent examples, and try to create division. The intention of collecting votes on the bodies of divided Indians should be pulled down.

Guys. I have read both sides of the arguement with great interest. This is a free country and both sides of the arguement are welcome. Sandeep, the article in outlook is a viewpoint. Your dissection of the article is very interesting and thanks a lot for countering outlooks statements. Balaji, you have a right to your views as long as you respect the sentiments and views of people around. All said and done…the whole issue is just a cheap gimmick by ‘Our Representatives’. I hope everyone is seeing the bigger picture too! I am just worried that they have managed to successfully side-track us.

kaangeya – On “Kongas”, any dark complexioned person speaking Tamil is called “Konga” in Karnataka…or at least in Bangalore. I have never seen a fair Tamil been reffered to thus.

Are you trying to say something?

Moreover, I thought speaking about Kerala and alluding to any kind of progress was supposed to be oxymoronic around here. Would you like to take that statement back?

What is your obsession with names dude? If India can be derived from the anglicized word Indus and Hindu can be derived from the Persian word for Sindhu, why can’t Dravida be a Sanskrit word? Sanskrit and Tamil are the oldest extant Indian languages and its not rocket science to figure they’ll be sharing vocabulary.
