Sunday Spoiler: Ministers Pray for Terrorists

This incident just reaffirms–doesn’t shock me–that all is well in the Islamic Republic of Jammu & Kashmir.
In what could turn out to be a major embarrassment for the Jammu and Kashmir government, a senior PDP MLA offered prayers at the graves of nine militants who were killed in an encounter with security forces early this week. It was in this encounter that Army Majors K P Vinay and Dinesh Raghuraman were also killed.
This is the man who honoured the dead terrorists martyrs.
His justification for doing what he did:
I offered fateh in the capacity of being a Muslim. I don’t think there is anything wrong in this…

It’s a free country. People should be allowed to pray for and to whoever they like. Ministers offering prayers for dead terrorists is a small price to pay for having the freedom to erect temples for Khushboo!

In another discussion, Kumar showed better class when I asked him about Muslim cricketers and Kalam being of Islam…just like the criminal gangs that assaulted revellers. There is a distinction imbeciles are impervious to.

* Col. Vasant is dead. His body was brought to Bangalore to his widow. His widow was in the same school and class with me.

* First, I do not believe in the above divisions. Moreover, the labels themselves are senseless because the BJP and its predecessors have never accepted the “communal” tag. In fact, they have claimed to be more secular than the rest. Maybe, the better question is, “which “real” secular party has ruled India for most years?” My answer would be; no “secular” party has ever ruled India.
2.When BJP came into existence and for how many years it ruled India? open ended question.
* Good question. The point is what the BJP itself thought of its chances. “Try the BJP once!” “Ab hume parkho!” I do not think any BJP leader ever thought they needed in excess of 5 years to make a difference. So, what happened?

* This is a simple minded attempt at sarcasm. The better question is, what difference did the BJP bring to national policies on the above situations? None in my opinion.
