One of my pet Kannada proverbs goes something like this: you act like I’ve hit you and I’ll pretend I’m weeping. After the Paper of the Bold and the Fearless published the damning Gujarat revelations at a rather opportune time, the Congress party has lost no time in reacting to it.
The Congress was cautious in its reaction to the sting operation conducted by a weekly that purportedly provided clinching evidence of Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s role in post-Godhra riots in Gujarat in 2002. Far from going ballistic against the CM as could be expected from an Opposition party in times of election, the Congress questioned the timing of the disclosures. “The revelations are not new. The entire civil society knows who was behind the incident. But I am surprised about the timing. Whatever has been shown on TV should be presented to the Nanavati Commission. We are still unable to understand why karsevaks had not been given protection;there was a conspiracy in burning the train,” said BK Hari Prasad, the AICC General Secretary in charge of Gujarat.
Doesn’t Hari Prasad’s name sound familiar? Just a few days ago, he had severely criticized Narendra Modi. Compared to the guttural language he used back then, one would expect that after learning about Tehelka’s torrid findings, he’d descend lower in the political gutter.
Back to the shocking secrets, expected reactions have trickled from expected quarters. Dilip D’Souza has jumped on the bandwagon first for obvious reasons. He’s been running a sustaining Remember Gujarat 5 years campaign for some months now. The other important reason is he cannot afford to let Tehelka down. He has also preempted the likes of me by anticipating the standard responses we’d come up with. For the crowning glory, the Indian blogsphere’s acknowledged retard has also chipped in with his dose of idiocy.
As a parting line, I’ll leave you to decide some important nuances of Tehelka’s sting operation. Watch this video and let me know if you observe something amiss.

Dcubed’s reponse was Pavalonian - we called in here before dcubed’s blog went up on this. Or maybe the bugger lurks around here.
And Sandeep, your comment on “acknowledged retard”, it’s an insult to the retards of this world, for a good reason the blog’s called “krish world” like “balaji world” - they have built their own little world and live in it.
How do you expose your dumbness with such a straight face. It comes naturally, huh!!

Expose of the 100’s strong mulla mob firebombing a train full of hindus. Go ahead and say it. As if this was the first riot in truncated India.
Just read the Tehelka editorial:
The accused damn themselves — they tell us how everything, every last thing was planned and thought through. How bombs were manufactured in factories owned by members of the Sangh Parivar. How arms were smuggled in from other states. How, for the men in uniform, the colour saffron meant more than khaki. How Narendra Modi, custodian of the law, volunteered to let his state resemble a killing field.
Two things are possible. Either Tehelka thinks its readership are a bunch of retards or they (Tehelka) have been watching too many Mithun B grade thrillers. These are the same people who would laugh at Sunny Deol’s Hero and Zor stuff. Honestly this gutter reporting is not worth writing about. To think DDsouza and other eminences financed
this and regularly contribute to this rag.
Factories manufacturing rocket launchers - were they ever used? Were these ever used? Where are these factories? Has Tehelka managed to get a rocket launcher?
Sandeep
From what I understand, this is the first time that people have freely admitted to what they did in Gujarat. And it is chilling.
Even if the whole of Tehelka is a Congress or CPI mouthpiece, if the evidence is true, the issue needs to be taken seriously. At this point in time, the evidence seems very strong that this is not a staged sting. If it is, then your arguments are valid.
But the fact remains that what happened in Gujarat is shameful to the core. I am talking not of the Train that was burnt (which was painful and terrible), but of the response to Godhra, where the State and Police, instead of preventing retaliation, played an active part in killing Muslims who were not even connected to the ‘Burning Train’.
Your response is surprising and reminds me of Rajdeep Sardesai’s wife’s response ( I have forgotten her name, sorry) who said that now since the mumbai bomb blasts convictions have happened, it is time for convictions among Hindus.
Welcome Krish, and please keep returning.
