Nothing New

So Benazir Bhutto is dead. A step lower in Pakistan’s descent into anarchy. The biggest beneficiary of her gruesome killing is the media, which will have a prolonged orgasm lasting several days.

Just yesterday I was watching her soul-stirring speeches where she promised electricity, and roads, guaranteed employment–Inshah Allah hum bijili denge, etc–and promised to uphold the honour of Pakistan… what a pity.

This is the natural outcome of a country build on hatred. Once they have no one to kill they start killing each other.
My only concern is about the fall out of this on India. Hope we don’t see migration to Punjab.
Already Bengal/Assam have become Jehadi haven. Hope Punjab can stay clear on west.

You’re one to bark, Sandeep. India is full of these types of people. Rajiv Gandhi ring a bell? How about Indira?

The journalist assholes in our country have completely lost their mind. They’ve hailed Benazir as a champion of democracy, fighter against terrorism, a “moderate” Moslem, and so on. Everybody, that includes our PM, has comfortably forgotten the fact that it was during Benazir’s tenure that Kashmir problem was instigated and she was the one who rooted for Taliban groups thinking that it will cause problems for India, stabilize Afghanistan, and thereby stabilize trade in that area. You always get what you give. It’s okay to express your condolence for someone’s death, but don’t give her what she doesn’t deserve.

if it indeed was the taliban who killed her, all that comes to mind is the story of bhasmasura.

What’s wrong with Indian Media. They are comparing one dynasty with another with great gusto. These guys are complete slaves and want India to be a slave. The world knows what this woman did in 1988 and again in 1993. She is responsible for terrorism in Kashmir. She started it. She created the Taliban to counter India’s influence in Afghanistan. Indian media needs history lessons.

    Guys,

    http://specials.rediff.com/news/2007/dec/28slid1.htm
Read Sheela Bhatt bat for the congress. Its disgusting.Singing for supper takes on new dimensions. Not one good word abt Modi seems he has done nothing good in the last 5 years.
By the way Bhatt sounds like a Kashmiri Pandit surname. How can a kashimiri pandit write like this…( I may be wrong on that though)

Pandit is a common lastname found in many states, including Gujarat, Maharashtra, UP, Punjab etc. Sheela Bhatt is most likely from Gujarat as is Ambarish Diwanji. Diwanji used to be the force behind Rediff a few years back. Not sure if he still is. He too was unabashedly pro-Congress.
