What’s the difference between the "separatists" (who recently threatened to march into Muzzafarbad) and the Verbal Terrorist? Clearly, none. Especially after this earsplitting call.
Roy concluded with words, “India needs azadi from Kashmir as much as Kashmir needs azadi from India.”
Does this shock you? It shouldn’t. For once and for all, the Verbal Terrorist has taken off her mask. Thus far, she had written bombastic sympathy-fiction about misguided youth turning into terrorists who didn’t know what they were doing. It was left to us to decipher each such fantasy tale, and call her bluff for what it was: shameless apology-rendering. After this barefaced admission of her truthful stance, we no longer need to take that trouble.
With this admission, she has eliminated the diaphanous line between verbal terrorism and terrorism in practice.
Now, all she needs to do is extend this support for separatism to the poor Balochs…
If Arundhati Roy were to go to Pakistan, the average patriotism of both countries will increase. Let her take that step for good of both countries.
Could we trade Arundhati Roy for Taslima Nasreen? Could we all contribute to buy her a one-way ticket to the moon — she’s as crazy as a coot.
dude, both vir sanghvi and swaminathan s aiyar have also called for the secession of kashmir from the indian union. how come you didnt call them verbal terrorists? the point arundati roy is making is spot on. the kashmiris themselves dont want anything to do with india, so how can you force them to.
Rohit, who are you calling “kashmiris”? the kashmiri muslims, kashmiri hindus, kashmiri sikhs, ladakhis, the pro-pakistanis, the pro-independence folks, the pro-india ikhwanis?
Do you realize the futility of listening only to the section who is the loudest?
Perhaps India needs azaadi from loudmouths like Arundhati Roy..
Dear sandeep,
you are being too sensitive. We might feel a natural affinity for india because of many reason.
Why should a beef eating kerala christian have any affinity for india.Such loud mouths are necessary, because they openly mouth what is in the minds of many christists.
Kahmiris hate us is well known. We have to hold kashmir.Otherwise dravidians,ULFA and khalistanis will be emboldened.Statecraft is not based on simplistic morality, one way or the other.Force is an important component. For most of us,the civilisational future is more important than the political unity of india.
Ofcourse the word ‘civilisation’ is an omnibus word.It means different things to different people. We have to fight porkis, christists, jihadis, commies and atlanticists for ‘our’ survival. Why should a kerala christist share our concern.Even the khalistanis and dravidians are looking for an opening
>>>> We have to hold kashmir.Otherwise dravidians,ULFA and khalistanis will be emboldened.
We may as well give it up. Maybe it would make us, as a nation, realize what is wrong with our ideas of secularism !!
“Why should a beef eating kerala christian have any affinity for india.Such loud mouths are necessary, because they openly mouth what is in the minds of many christists.”
Then you are free to leave whatever you call this land (We know it as India) and settle down at the birthplace of Christ! Its high time to realize your cherished dream. So wake up! And leave us alone.
No time for rhetoric. At this stage we need extreme force. A muslim majority state will never feel Indian.
We have to show them that you can forcibly convert and genocide previous religions to create a majority state. We all know that the media in India is infilterated so no point taking them seriously though I must sya that they have the power to influence the Indian intelligensia through their use of sophisticated english words.
One hard hitting blow through legal channels will send these emboldened cowards crawling
guyz i think we need not listen to this street B***h at all but fact remains how long we need to hold to this lousy kashmiryat and fool ourselves we are pumping in billions of dollars in reurn for nothing and much more human cost i.e lives of our brave jawans for those racasals … atleast our hindu identity will get stronger
Sandeep,
is there anything called a hindu identity? We are governed by dharmic values.Sorry to sound pedantic. My identity is:I am an atma.So are you.We have come together to fight these mlecchas who have no notion of the atma. Our vasanas, destinations and trajectories might be different, but we hate chinese barbarians etc.
Our identity should be indian with a Hindu basis.Trying to ‘create’ Hindu identity is dangerous. The basis of our culture is the indvidual and his duties.Trying to ‘add’ anything else is unnecessary, even while fighting the mlecchas.I think this is sufficient to bring vokkaligas, lingayats, marathas, right thinking dravidians, sikhs, even dalits on a dharmic platform of yuga dharma. This way we can be accomodating and principled.
Excuse me for my sermon.
Humm sitting in my little home here at US of A I demand freedom, maybe all members in my family demands it, can I have it? Will the great US of A give me that? Only 50 feet by 50 feet of land that I can call my own country? Let me take my argument a little further. Kashmir Valley wants independence, sure so when we vote whom do we include in that voting? If I am a Hindu/Muslim living at Lal chowk who votes against freedom or joining Pakistan, will my little house and the surrounding muhalla (who have voted against the above two options) be allowed to remain with India. If not why not? So we will have to maybe consider the wish of the whole valley together, not all houses or community, why not get a vote on this from whole of India!!
For me, I am a hypocrite, (well actually a realist) I like to keep the valley. They don’t want to stay with us tough luck!! There are two ways for the wannabe talikashmiris, you migrate or you kill people like us. TSP (Terrorist state of Pakistan) has tried wreting Kashmir from us many times, they have not much to show for it. That ain’t happening (well Chamcha Singh and queen bee may think they can allow it to happen).
Now to the people reading this, don’t be a fool. What they cannot achieve through guns they want that to achieve by wanting us to take the moral high ground. As a person, you have every right to take a moral high ground in your personal affairs, but not in National affair. It is not for you to take, it is for whole of the nation to take. The nation has made that many time clear (by sacrificing its blood) that J&k IS OURS AND WILL REMAIN SO!!
As a individual I respect my nations sentiment and I will not do anything (action or writing, that includes this space) that will jeopardize this space, so thanks to Sandeep for bringing this up.
Thanks,
Indian
Today Jag Suraiya in TOI joined the terrorists as well by demanding Indiaa be freed from Kashmir:
Is it time the K-word got out of India, and India out of the K-word? Even as Pakistanis in Pakistan celebrated the departure of their erstwhile dictator, Pervez Musharraf, ‘Pakistanis’ in Kashmir agitated for the long overdue exit of an equally, if not more, oppressive dictator: India.
