Via email from the Acorn, we hear of an honour killing in the USA.
The website of a New York TV network whose aim is to improve American perceptions of Islam was shut down this morning, two days after its founder admitted to the beheading of his wife. And while that irony might bring a momentary smile, another attempt to conceal the facts behind an honor killing right here in America should stir nothing short of outrage.
In India honour killings are so routine that we’ve become safely sanitized to such news…yaawn… pink panties are the new fashion. But it looks like America is comfortably emulating us. While Dhimmitude set in there a few years ago, Marc Sheppard gives us a glimpse into the advanced stage it has reached now.
And, despite the fact that she was beheaded, a particularly hideous practice all but unthinkable to any but Islamic fundamentalists, you can bet that her murderer’s religion will never be mentioned, as though it were irrelevant.
But history tells us that, notwithstanding the pattern of denial by the Dhimmi dummies of the MSM, this man’s religion is extremely relevant…Pressured by Islamic advocacy groups and the prevailing winds of political correctness, authorities and news organizations remain remarkably mute…Where the hell are all the pissed-off women’s groups? This sister was beheaded! Here! In America!
This news hasn’t been reported by the Indian media. A safe bet is to assume it might be given the Page-Seven-Column-Four treatment. Effectively buried. Irretrievable. The media, especially, the Slimes is currently trying to extract its pages buried under a debris of pink underwear.
I echo Marc’s question: where are those secular fundamentalists and feminazis who lent their orgiastic vocal cords in support of the Islamic world during the Danish cartoon controversy?

Dhimmitude has now been institutionalised with the UN passing a measure to curb free speech. Islamists sponsored the “Combating Defamation of Religions” aka don’t dare criticize Islam. This happened barely a couple of days before the Mumbai attacks. And now, everyone seems to be bending over backwards, Britain is begging jihadis to not attack them, they are curbing free speech in denying entry to Geert Wilders, the Dutch courts passing dhimmi verdicts to stop Wilders from speaking the truth about Islam, various Islamist groups getting stronger by the day in the US (CAIR etc.). And we all know the havoc wreaked by Islamists in India.
Hold a mirror to the Islamists and you’ll be shot down for doing so. Political correctness will doom us soon.

are committed in a equally horrendous manner so what’s the point harping on muslims killing themselves in America ?

Ot,
This news has been buried in the US mainstream media when it should be front page news (if a Christian or a non-Muslim American had done the same, you’d have seen the anger and outrage – for example, that sick dude in Austria who kept his daughter in a basement), so while it won’t improve the American perceptions of Islam, it won’t do much harm either since few will report on it.
Besides, feminists love Islam and Muslim men – poor little lost babies who need their love and sympathy. So you’re not likely to see feminists in the US criticizing this either. Muslim women are unfortunately, expendable and religion plays no part in atrocities done by Muslim men. Moreover, which feminist would want to be labeled as a bigot and an Islamophobe for speaking out and criticizing this? Not bloody likely as they don’t have the balls – literally and figuratively speaking.

You dont get the point.
The whole point is that incidents that are related to Islam are blacked out of the MSM in service of political correctness.
But in Hindu society, incidents like violence against women gain a fair bit of coverage in our media (Mangalore pub… just imagine), a fair bit of national mindspace, and rightly so. There are no attempts to cover up such crimes.
The point is – in India, we DO something about it. We do a lot, in fact. We DONT, for example, sweep incidents like dowry death under the carpet.
The point is – when it comes to Muslim society, it is the exact opposite. The MSM does not do its job of asking questions when it comes to violence against women in Muslim society.

This is akin to the Mangalore incident, where voilence was used and caste names were called out in a degrading manner. This incident has not gotten even a small fraction of coverage as the mangalore incident…
Coming to think of it, DMK volunteers have unleased countless number of terrors in tamil nadu… cutting off the poonals (janav) of brahmins, cutting off tuft of hair from pandits… Another case of MSM and UPA ministers picking and choosing what they would protest about.

I meant to say that I was surprised that a person running an Islamic TV channel should have done this, given he could not be unaware of the fact that he was damaging the “clearing misconceptions about Islam” cause. But on second thoughts, I think he must have committed the murder — through decapitation — precisely because he was running that channel.
He must have been regarded a “pious Muslim” and a “pillar of the community” for the TV role he was performing. So for him his estrangement from his wife, not by his saying talaq but due to intervention of unbeliever’s law on her behalf, is indeed a matter of ‘honour’, in more ways than one. So killing her the “Islamic” way is his way of redeeming himself in the peer group.

Here is CAIR giving this Muzammil guy a plaque for something or the other. [Of course, this was before Muzammil decided to behead his wife--need to clariphy onlee].

Dear guest, ‘you hindus’ who have your own problem of dowry deaths are free to continue holding on to your problems or discarding it.
But that need not make you peeved to see some of us Indians commenting on issues that we consider to be deserving of condemnation.

I guess lots of people who claim to be hindus have been convicted for murder, rape, etc. So do you feel that ‘you hindus’ should not raise your voice against acts of murders, rape etc.?

This is a major challenge for the entire Western world and many of our nations have already collapsed ideologically to things like this. Latest thing is that politicians in Norway want to allow Paki women to wear Hijab if they are police officers.
A friend of mine was asking if he could wear a Viking helmet as well. Likewise, as a descendant of Christian converts from 1030, maybe I could get to wear both a cross and a Thor’s hammer..
Our society is so full of dysfunctionalism from top to bottom and when our economy collapses and our social unrest accellerates seconodary to “ethnic clashes”, history will look upon our leaders as the biggest traitors in history of mankind.
India have lost half their originial territory after hundreds of years of bitter struggles and we are handing it out all for free without a single swords’ blow.
There’s so much stuff going on in Skandinavia these days that NEVER reach the news. From all the rapes to all the robberies, to all the systematic bullying of our kids and nobody is doing anything about it!!
This thing from America makes me sick, but it’s nothing new in the West of today and will become more than commonplace as our demographical challenges will intensify.
