Love Jihad Gets International Op-Ed Space

I know I’ve been neglecting this blog for extended intervals. I’ve been insanely busy.
About two months ago, I had posted about the dangerous, long-term outcome of what I called Love Jihad. This phenomenon ever since, is steadily receiving the attention it deserves. And no thanks to the Slimes for making it front page headlines for at least two days. The Slimes wouldn’t dare antagonize the Islamic lobby if its back wasn’t solidly protected.
Love Jihad is just another variant of the Jihad, which Islamists have been waging against India on multiple fronts. This Jihad is increasingly finding support from within. Neither is it met with the iron handed response it deserves. Even sensible commentators have lapsed into using the safe, “terrorist” term instead of calling the phenomenon by name: Islam-inspired religious war against infidels.

The “Love Jihad”
To the “hard jihad” of Muslim terrorism and the non-violent, “stealth jihad” challenging Western societies, the oxymoron “love jihad” can now be added. But this latest form of Islamist aggression has nothing to do with love but rather, like its soulmates, with hatred for the infidel and women.
The love jihad’s modus operandi involves a heartless strategy of luring vulnerable girls and young women to convert to Islam by feigned love and promises of marriage. But instead of marital bliss, the girls unwittingly trapped in its deceitful web usually wind up in the hands of Muslim fundamentalist organizations.
The south-western state of Kerela in India is the latest place where this perverse practice has raised its ugly head. Authorities in this state of 32 million are holding in jail two young Muslim men who stand accused of “luring” two non-Muslim university students with promises of marriage “for the purpose of conversion.”
In court, both students testified the two men “trapped” them and forced them into converting. One told the court she fell in love with one of the men, a senior student at her college, and eloped with him. But instead of the expected marriage, she and the other woman were taken to a Muslim center where they were subjected to Islamic extremist propaganda.
The case has created such concern that Kerela’s High Court ordered the police to investigate the organization responsible for the conversions, the Campus Front, which serves as the student wing of the Muslim fundamentalist organization, the Popular Front of India. It is believed more than 4,000 Hindu and Christian young women in Kerela have converted to Islam in the last six months.
The Times of India reports that Kerela’s Hindu and Christian religious authorities are so alarmed at this development that they are cooperating to “combat the ‘social evil’ which. . .is hitting their respective communities hard.” It is suspected that college girls and working women are especially targeted.
“It’s shocking but it is happening. Many Christian families are getting affected,” said a member of the Kerala Catholic Bishops Council.
One report states the “jihad Romeos” in Kerela are given cell phones, bikes and fashionable clothes to accomplish their sinister mission. They have two weeks to find a girl of another religion and six months to convert her to Islam. If the girl shows no interest within two weeks, they are to leave her and find another.
For every conversion, the men also receive a monetary reward. The money for the “love jihad” in Kerala is reported to come from “foreign sources.”
If a recruiter does marry his convert, he is encouraged to have four children with her. Some believe this capability to bear offspring is the reason why young women are targeted. With conversion, their reproductive powers are taken away from a competing religion and increase instead the Muslim extremist demographic.
But while the term love jihad may be new, the tactic is already a known one. In the 1990s, Sikhs in England believed young women in their community were being targeted for conversion. Young Muslim men looking for prey were even thought to have attended parties for young Sikhs, while pretending to be Sikhs themselves.
Sometimes, however, the jihad Romeos in England used a more brutal approach. A story in the Daily Mail two years ago stated that police were targeting such Muslim extremists and working with universities against “aggressive conversions.” These involved Hindu and Sikh girls being beaten up and terrorized by the Muslim men they were dating until they converted.
The Hindu Forum of Britain, the story says, claimed hundreds of Sikh and Hindu girls were victims of such vicious intimidation. Some even had to leave their university to escape their tormentors.
“Some girls are petrified because they are constantly being phoned up, having their door knocked on,” a Hindu Forum member said at the time.
But the best evidence that this form of jihad has been in operation for some time comes from a former Muslim extremist, who converted to Christianity. In the book, Why We Left Islam, a compilation of testimonies by former Muslims who left their faith, the unidentified apostate gives a powerful account of his days as a jihad Romeo in Egypt who targeted Coptic Christian girls.
Like in Kerela, the former Muslim testifies that money was paid for conversions and that it came from outside the country. And the higher the educational and social status of the victim’s family, the more money the jihad Romeo received.
Unlike in India though, the recruiters would parade the converted girl through the streets, playing music and waving flags, while yelling “Allah Akbar.” The goal, he said, was to humiliate the Christians, especially the men, and dishonor their families in a country where the women are the family’s honor. But such parades were banned in 1985.
All kinds of tricks, he writes, were used to convert the girls. From outright expressions of love and attending their churches to trapping them in moral scandals, everything was fair game. In this, the extremists were often helped by young Muslim women who identified likely targets, encouraged the Christian girl in the “relationship,” and would even help set up the morally compromising situations.
While ruining the lives of others, the former Muslim states he thought he was serving his religion, since Muslims “were in a perpetual war with the ‘filthy infidels’.” He lived for three years with one woman he had converted, tormenting her mercilessly, while converting seven other Christian women during that time.
In essence, the love jihad is a form of demographic aggression. Like the “stealth jihad”, which employs political activism to achieve Islamist aims in Western societies, it employs deception and is viewed as a useful tactic in bringing about Islamic world domination. That, however, is of little solace to the many precious young women whose lives it has destroyed.

Sandeep this rot runs deep and shall keep on spreading like cancer.If “love jihad” has been found a mention in MSM then it is more for the reason that Christians TOO are being targeted. Had this been restricted to Hindus and Sikhs alone, bet this would have ever been noticed!

Sandeep time is to ‘think out of box’. I suggest we encourage ‘love jihadis’ to focus on ‘Christian Girls’ same time dissuade Hindu girls and educate them against this ‘jihad’.

Our week and diverse society had no problem centuries ago, it was the time when pagan culture was prominent all over the world.Kings used to fight each other but common people more or less not effected much as far as his daily activities were concerned,during this period loosely coupled and diverse society like ours could sustain.
Later, with advent of Abrahamic religions,politics and religion came together which lead to problems,Political motives were archived through religious missionaries,now, unlike old days, Politics and religion have mutual impact and thus religion determines who rule the land.
Solution to all the problems of Hindus is to unity politically and become more powerful. To become powerful we need to create Hindu vote bank, society must be made more stronger.
If we don’t unite and continue to be complacent as was always, I think we will see India going through some more partitions in future within our life span.

Like all copies, Mohammed’s efforts at copying the christian church’s imperialistic behaviour suffered on certain counts, notably in the subtlety front. The Al Taqiya practiced by muslims really do not match up with the stealth moves of the westerners who trace their lineage through christian church right upto the imperial rome. These muslim guys sooner than later allow their avarice and carelessness to betray themselves, unlike their elder brothers, the westerners.
Take the case of Aurangazeb, had he continued the stealth jihad of his more intelligent predecessors, Akbar, Jahangir and Shah Jahan, he wouldn’t have attracted the resolute anger of indians such as Shivaji which destroyed mughal empire.
Had Taliban and Al Qaeda not overestimated themselves, they wouldn’t have had the full western might come down over them. They should have been satisfied with hijacking few indian aeroplanes and killing indians.
Now it is these love-jihadis who overplayed their hands by going after christian girls. Now they have got the full christian might clamping down on them. They should have been satisfied with converting the hindu girls. That way they could have stealthly converted the entire hindu girl population with out anybody being bothered.
The lesson for indians is that jihad comes in different ways. While the muslim one is revealed for what it is sooner or later, the western one, which can be christian jihad, communist jihad or capitalist jihad, sometimes are not revealed even after continuing for centuries.
Wendy Doniger is such a jihadi for western cultural imperialism. In terms of the Ramayana, she is the new age Mandhara working her poison on indians. In this new age Ramayana being played out, unfortunately, she has the help of some ‘outlook’ing indians who behave like monkeys(begging pardon of the real monkeys) when they see the combo of white skin with green of dollars.

Hindus have known about Muslim targeting of Hindu girls for a long time; unfortunately, they (we) couldn’t successfully ‘brand’ the phenomenon as ‘love jihad’, which is self-explanatory. Probably, we would have come out with some term like ‘islamic pseudolove’ or ‘pseudo-jihad’ and then spent half our effort explaining that Hindus are the real jihadis.

Talking about NDTV, there was an email going around that his full name is Prannoy James Roy and his mother was Irish/English (both true). It appears that Prannoy James Roy is uncomfortable with these facts coming out, and is having his Wikipedia page edited at frequent intervals. Love Jihad is nothing new. Long before, xian missionaries have perfected this strategy by luring Hindu boys through xian girls. You can see how this fruitful exercise has yielded dividends in Coimbatore. Adoloscent Hindu boys are approached by missionary trained young xian girls and hooked into a matrimony, after conversion of the boys into xianity.

What is jihad
First, we would like to start with stating that Islam does not call for violence; rather it abhors all forms of violence and terrorism, whether against Muslims or non-Muslims. Islam, moreover, calls for peace, cooperation, and maintaining justice, and provides for the happiness and welfare of humanity as a whole. This fact is declared in the Qur’an when Allah says: (Allah commands justice, the doing of good, and liberality to kith and kin, and He forbids all shameful deeds, and injustice and rebellion: He instructs you, that ye may receive admonition.) (An-Nahl 16: 90)
Jihad is one of the words that have been misused due to misunderstanding its true meaning. The word “Jihad” is derived from the Arabic word “Jahd” which means fatigue or the word “Juhd” which means effort. A Mujahid is he who strives in the Cause of Allah and exerts efforts which makes him feel fatigued. The word “Jihad” means exerting effort to achieve a desired thing or prevent an undesired one. In other words, it is an effort that aims at bringing about benefit or preventing harm.
Jihad can be observed through any means and in any field whether material or moral. Among the types of Jihad are struggling against one’s desires, the accursed Satan, poverty, illiteracy, disease, and fighting all evil forces in the world.
There are many religious texts that refer to these types of Jihad. Among the forms of Jihad is defending life, property or honor. Those who die while engaging in Jihad are considered to be martyrs, as confirmed by Hadith. Jihad is also done to avert aggression on home countries and on all that is held sacred, or in order to face those who try to hinder the march of the call of truth.
In Islamic Shari`ah, Jihad in the Cause of Allah means fighting in order to make the Word of Allah most high, and the means for doing so is taking up arms in addition to preparation, financing and planning strategies. A large number of people are supposed to take part in Jihad including farmers, craftsmen, traders, doctors, engineers, workers, security men, preachers, writers and all those who directly or indirectly participate in the battle.
This type of Jihad was a major concern of Muslims in the beginning of the formation of the Islamic community, and a lot of verses of the Glorious Qur’an and the Hadith advocated and encouraged it. Almighty Allah says: (March forth, whether you are light (being healthy, young and wealthy) or heavy (being ill, old and poor) and strive with your wealth and your lives in the Cause of Allah.) (At-Tawbah 9: 41) Jihad is considered an individual duty (Fard `Ein), on all Muslims who are capable and fit to fight, in the event of being invaded by the enemy, and is considered a collective duty (Fard Kifayah) in the event of not being invaded. However, if the Imam (leader) calls to Jihad, people must respond to his call. This is evident from Allah’s Saying, (O you who believe! What is the matter with you, that when you are asked to march forth in the Cause of Allah (i.e. Jihad) you cling heavily on the earth?) (At-Tawbah 9: 38), and the Hadith narrated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim, “When you are called to Jihad, then go forth.”

This is a carefully organised ploy started today by our TV channels (mouthpiece of Soniaji). My appeal to all Hindus is that none of us should react. We should fail the mission of Sonia to launch hatred on the Hindu minds towards Mr.Hussein. The highest punishment that the Hindus could give to Mr.Hussein is to let him feel himself the sin that he has committed. The entire history of the Indian civilisation has lots of stories about Asuras provocating Devas and the misdeeds of Asuras towards Devaas. In all these instances, Devaas have not fought violently against the Asuras, but have sought the help of Almighty and this is exactly what the Hindus have to do. Any violent reaction from Hindus by means of violence will strengthen the cunning desires of the UPA. If Mr.Hussein has painted Hindu Godesses in the most absurd way, then God (or Dharma – the rule of universe) will punish him.
UPA has also started activities to provide clemency to Mohammad Afzal and even for this; we should not react and make it an issue. UPA wants BJP to take up these issues and get a bad name among the Muslims. Let the UPA which has a mandate upto 2014 do whatever it wants to do. If the Hindus don’t react for both of these incidents, UPA would be surprised and they would have failed in their bad intentions. Spread this message as much as we can.
We are all supporting the BJP and why do we do this ? Is it because BJP would do anything in favour for the Hindus ? No, we believe that they would do justice for all Indians irrespective of their faith. Today, we do not have Righteous people governing us and we expect that the BJP would balance their actions to provide justice for all.
Why should BJP morally support the Hindus on the Ram Janmabhoomi issue ? My answer is :
Greater India was partitioned to provide a separate country for the Muslims and Paksitan was carved out of it. The remaining part of greater India could have been declared a Hindu country, but it was only proclaimed as a Secular nation accepting the diversities of India. The BJP believes that the majority of Indians, (read Hindus) deserve the credit for upholding Secularism in this country, The Hindus did not bother to elect people like Mr.M.Karunanidhi to higher posts, who has done during his lifetime all possible atrocities against Hindus. The Hindus never looked at the faith of Ms.Sonia when she was elected to the top position of the country’s major political party. The Hindus should not be termed Communal just because some have resorted to violence when provoked, as they are the backbone and upholders of Secularism in India. Jammu and Kashmir is the only Muslim majority state of India and Secularism has no value there. The reason told by the separatists in J & K for their “Azaadi movement” is that they don’t feel secure in Hindu majority India. This is great insult to the Secular values practised by the Hindus. Is it not one classic example of why Hindus deserve credit for upholding secularism in India. The BJPs support to the Ram Janmaboomi cause was only to strengthen the Secularism of India.
Let the Hindus speak only with the ballots and not with weapons or violence. Let the UPA fail in its mission of pitting the BJP or Hindus against the Muslims.

Sandeep, have you read ‘stranger to history’ by Aatish Taseer, Tavleen Singh’s son? In a sense, this book is an anti-thesis of Lakshmi’s son from Aavarana. I chanced upon this book by pure accident in a book store. I raced thru most of it. And since I do track some of the ‘communal’ blogs ( :=) :=) yours, barbs, rajeev ) and I did not remember seeing any references to this book, I searched again. Found none. Most Indian media, and blogs, seem to have ignored this book entirely.
Read this book, and recommend it to all your blog readers too. And engage with this writer.

Love jihad can easily be counterd by our own PREM VYUH(love trap) The purpose- entrapment of muslim girls and married women for conversion and/or sexual gratification. Its comforting to know that Muslim women whose husbands are away in the gulf have been and still are being sexually exploited by hindu men in Kozhikode malappuram districts. I can say this for a fact because i have first hand info on this. It usually happens when men go to work in muslim houses, mostly for painting/polishing jobs etc.. that they come into contact with the deprived women. Seems it doesn’t take much effort to lure them and get them into bed. The main reason such news doesn’t get out usually is that the family members usually keep it hush-hush even after being caught red-handed.

Love Jihad has claimed a young life in Kerala. Sajna, a very young hindu girl committed suicide rather than succumb to the pressure to convert. She married Nasser in August, 2008. Nasser and his family continuously pressurised Sajna to convert to Islam but she resisted. Ultimately due to the constant harassment she committed suicide. My sister being suffering from chova dosham and only because of it she cannot get married till now. When I met a Muslim youth (now my husband) attracted me his behavior, I realized that the high values of his life he gained only from Islam which I tried to study myself and become a Muslim, now I am very happy and I feel secure in my life.

Tshazia, I totally understand what you are saying, but please explain this to the women of Iran. The video below was filmed in Iran in 1994, but there are more recent ones. Do explain to these women not to scream for mercy when the compassion of Islam is unleashed upon them. Also tell them that the behaviour of muslims is so completely human.

Practices like “chova dosham” are social practices, not a part of the religion. If you say that these are part of practices belonging to certain Hindu communities (not every Hindu community cares for horoscopes, I never did), that would be a correct statement.
Making some dying social practice part of the opposing religion and then declaring an entire religion inhuman is a very old practice of the missionaries advocating Abrahamic religions. One can see how conversion impacted your thought process already. Also, the “high values” gained from Islam is at work in world trade center bombing or Mumbai carnage. So, spare us those high values.
