Nis - Kancha being backed by this or that group is not the issue.

At least not as much as the fact that his views are current currency amongst a number of Dalit ideologues who perhaps have not been bought and who are actually sincere in expressing their angst.

I think we commit a blunder when we ignore or are indifferent to the argumenations of the likes of Kancha. This blind-side is then used as "silence of the guilty" or "silence of the traitors to the cause".

>>National Traitors – Rajdeep Sardesai, Karan Thapar, Sagarika Ghose

To call a chamcha a traitor is to dignify the chamcha. Before you can say "traitor!" the butt-licker is feigning injured innocence and protesting your "assault" on "liberal values". He has become a hero in his own eyes because somebody called him a traitor. I suggest you praise his loyalty instead. Loyalty to the Congress party and his abiding commitment to taste nothing but only the government's butt.

Hey you guys!! I am so happy I stumbled on this blog. You cant imagine the pain I am going through as an NRI who has just returned to India to witness all this crap here! The rucus on Vande Mataram happened while I was in the US and had blogged on it with a lot of passion. Please refer how the veil of Mother India hangs in shame!!

I just finished posting my own observations -

Shortly, I feel that unless Kancha says he's forsaken his Kuruma traditions, he's a Hindu.

We should not get distracted by his vain and propagandistic anti-Hinduism rhetoric. He tries hard to get folks he sees as "Brahmins" to react negatively to his "theories".

This allows him to identify Hinduism with the "Brahmin" and other so called "upper" Castes and none other than these unless we have some figures identifying themselves as of the Castes of the Shudra Varna who will oppose him. There are plenty of such Hindus I'm sure.

On the other hand and with regards to the Vande Mataram issue on IBN (Barkha Dutt), did no one notice the utter lack of support for the Hindu side? There was nobody who spoke for the Hindus and their national heritage in the body of Vande Mataram.

Bravo! A pointed attack that tears Illiah apart- I think we need of your commentary to reach the hearts and minds of those who're, quite frankly speaking, almost overwhelmed with the bullshit about secularism that's on NDTV and IBN. If Illiah is self -styled 'intellectual' fighting for OBC causes on prime time television, he should probably meet the lady (you know who it is) who has a Brahmin by her side to guide her through the highs and lows of her political life (err..sorry..political 'struggle'..I should say)

Response to "psudo":

Try this link,
http://www.freeindia.org/vmataram/genesis_of_janaganamana.shtml

I do not know who came up with the bull shit you talked about, but like Kancha Iliyah, rhetoricians are on a roll now-a-days. Just because you can make an opinion does not make that opinion valuable, the opinion needed to be grounded logic or history. Anything that happened in recent Indian history is not a conspiracy designed by Marxists/Secularists/Royalists/Islamists.

I certainly support Sandeep. Lot of these pseudo Buddhists don’t know the meaning of Buddha particularly in India. I think largely because of their hatred for Brahmanism & inferiority complex they label themselves as Buddhists.
I’ll post your view points in my blog.

Well Buddhism has become all watered down into something, lets call it "pop buddhism" that Hollywood celebrities support. These people would be surprised to realize that at the beginning Buddhism was a severely austere religion, and that its association with compassion and passivity came much later in its development--
