It couldn’t get any worse for the vile galaxy that comprises the media, intelligentsia, academia and the usual gang of Gujarat Cottage Industry freebooters. Let’s call it the media in short because it’s the media that gleefully opens its legs pages and studios and helps spread the poison. The Supreme Court today has delivered them a body blow by exonerating the object of their collective hatred.
The Supreme Court today directed a Gujarat trial court to examine the report of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) and the amicus curae’s review of that report and then decide whether a case needs to be registered to investigate Mr Modi’s alleged role in the 2002 case…The Supreme Court will now stop monitoring the case and both the reports will be sent to the trial court.
Of course, the Congress party gets mandatory, if passing mention for whining—clearly with all the gusto that derives from supremely misplaced confidence—about how this verdict isn’t about the SC giving Modi a “clean chit” and assorted riffraff. Equally it needs to be mentioned in passing about the alternative scenario: what would the Congress party be saying if the SC passed an order adverse to Modi?
But this isn’t about the Congress party. It’s about that party’s hired pen-pushers and intellectual whores who masquerade as the guardians of non-partisanship and custodians of the health of public discourse. They’ve been featured in this blog several times in the past and they’ll continue to get coverage as they stoop down yet another stair that leads to the nadir of hypocrisy, doublespeak, and venality. We need a record of vile things just as we need a record of good things.
Over the years, we notice one marked change in not just how the media reports (or suppresses news) and/or spins things, but in how it regards or paints certain institutions. I suppose it was an organic growth, so to say, given how its paymaster regards the very same institutions. Where it could, the Congress party has succeeded in subverting every institution including the courts. Yet, once in a while, the courts have turned adverse to it. And so just as what’s sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander, its men and women in the Media Mafia have let loose some vile tricks in condemning the courts, including the Supreme Court. Actually condemnation of courts is the least of the media’s sins.
We only need to look at some parallels and chronicle the media’s behaviour with respect to four epochal cases since Independence and see how markedly similar the snake-oil tricks are.
The first relates to the 1984 anti-Sikh pogrom, which was practically forgotten till the Gujarat riots investigations began. Thanks to pressure from public opinion, the media began to speak about getting justice for the 1984 riot victims in the same breath as getting justice for the victims of the Gujarat riots. Of course, with none of the mad-cow-disease-like shrillery that surrounds the Gujarat riots “discourse.” It doesn’t also reflect well that it’s the painstaking effort of the Sikh community and their supporters that kept the pressure on. Manmohan Singh might have apologized but justice hasn’t been done and the media continues to remain blind and deaf and dumb and numb to the pain of the victims’ families.
The second relates to the ethnic cleansing of Kashmiri Pandits. After years of misinformation campaigns, sleight-of-hand reportage, open lies, and besmirching their own nation’s army, the media till date has remained silent, elusive and heartless. If that’s not enough, prominent media stars of the time have indirectly supported an ISI agent by taking a pro-Pakistan stand. Not a word about the plight of the dead and displaced Kashmiri Pandits. Even as recent as 2010, the media scum actually supported the Congress party’s highhandedness in dealing with the Kashmiri Pandits’ protest in Delhi.
The third relates to the Ayodhya affair. It’s clear after reading the buildup to the sordid saga that it was primarily the Marxist history/academic underworld and their bedmates in the media that led the Muslim leadership on a rosy path only to dump them first in the 1990s, and later in 2010 when the Allahabad High Court delivered its verdict.
The fourth relates of course, to the Gujarat riots. This more than the Ayodhya affair has caused massive deforestation, incredible ear damage, eyesores and cranial befuddlement. The “positive” side includes the creation of countless jobs thanks to the emergence of the Gujarat Cottage Industry. The last bit is actually true. The NAC is in many ways an organ, which wouldn’t have probably existed sans the Gujarat Cottage Industry.
In the first two instances, the media got away almost scot free because its position as Big Brother was still safe: there was no Internet and the grey-haired, jaded wizens who passed as editors simply threw opposing viewpoints into the dustbin. While not all media outlets were the handmaidens of the Congress party, their brains were permanently altered by consuming secular toxins for nearly 40 years. And so, even now when the media grudgingly runs a few articles in favour of the Pandits or the 1984 genocide victims, it does so with knowledge that it doesn’t matter anymore.
However, in the third instance, things had begun to alter dramatically and quickly. The Marxist Fantasy fell apart in face of the mountains of solidly-researched evidence presented in the Ayodhya case. Political equations changed almost overnight, and within the media itself, scores of journalists/editors had cured themselves of secular toxin and veered towards what’s incorrectly called as the “Right.” The authors of the Marxist Harry Potter series couldn’t of course afford to be exposed for their deception: their careers were already on the brink with Arun Shourie’s deadly expose. And so they adopted the same tricks of fraud and chicanery laid down by their vile forebears: they called for investigation after investigation confident that they could drag it on till eternity. However, that eternity was rudely shattered in 2010 as we shall see.
In the fourth instance, the entire secular establishment injected poison the moment Hindus retaliated in kind after the poor Kar Sevaks were roasted alive. This was, and will remain the standard modus operandi as far as secularism is concerned: Hindus are not supposed to retaliate. They did, and thereafter everybody was fair game. Retaliators were wrong because the kar sevaks had “invited death upon themselves.” Hindus who were killed in the riots weren’t victims who deserved justice. A hitherto unknown IAS officer shot into instant fame by writing a phony, weepy piece in the Slimes of India. This gentleman now calls the shots in the NAC. The seeds for the Gujarat Cottage Industry were thus sown and it grew into a gigantic tree real fast in just a few years. However, with time, this tree, which had yielded a rich harvest now began to yield a harvest of unpalatable fruit.
Which is where we notice the similarities.
Recall how the media, just before the Ayodhya verdict, was all nervous and giggly with excitement like a girl going out on a blind date, only to realize that it was Mugambo whom she finally met at the date. The face of every single secular star who was confident that the verdict would be in “our” favour (read: the Muslims) betrayed their overwhelming disappointment at the verdict. After the shock wore off, they began a careful orchestration of abusing the Allahabad High Court, a venal trick that only they’ve mastered: abuse, which doesn’t seem like abuse.
And so it is with today’s verdict. The media thinks nothing of having a debate or informed discussion that explains the public just how the Supreme Court passes such orders, the legal process and minds that work behind it…in general, something that helps the reader/viewer be better informed than he was before. The judgment indeed is a pleasure to read and shows the rigor involved in the process. The media wants none of this. Instead, it invites the petitioner (Mrs. Zafri) and uses her comments to “prove” that the SC’s judgment was wrong.
A representative example is Turdesai’s channel, which suddenly makes a “ready reckoner” of the Gulberg massacre, something that it didn’t bother to do in these 9 years. And his wife, when not threatening people on Twitter with legal notices (Section 507), waxes eloquent with such gems:
- SC on Ehsan Jafri: apex court given a legalistic rule bound order. Lordships could have risen to the occasion and made a moral observation
- Jafri case was a fit case for SC to make a high moral observation on responsibilities of political executive, benchmark shd ve been set
- SC makes observations on 2g to Lok pal.surely role of pol executive in case of mass violence shd ve called forth a thundering observation
- Long delays in 1984 and 2002 cases. need of the hour CV Bill? FTN 10pm.
- Question is, who will invetigate when state machinery itself is accused of being complicit in mass violence. an independent body?SIT?
(Oh and just in case Sagarika Ghose deletes these tweets, fear not! I have screenshots.)
This then is the veiled contempt that our media has for the judiciary. Sagarika Ghose’s last tweet is a classic: a lie repeated a million times will become the truth. And this, when the cases are still under investigation. What evidence does Sagarika Ghose have that proves the Gujarat state machinery’s complicity? Indeed, such tweets, and retarded “opinion” pieces such as this simply indicate the growing desperation of the Gujarat Cottage Industry as finding after finding exculpates Modi’s culpability in the 2002 riots. The greatest desperation of all, however, is reflected in the deadly Communal Violence Bill, which was shot down in no time even by Congress allies. Guess the wretched brains who thought this up? Among others, Harsh Mander and Teesta Setalvad. The message is clear: oppose Modi and who knows, you might get lucky enough to find a place in the dreaded NAC.
But this is just one side of the story.
The other side is far more evil. It involves subverting the justice system itself. Indeed, the whole “discourse” on the Gujarat riots and Modi himself, is one vulgar saga of anti-national and self-serving NGOs putting pressure on the courts and using the media to stage their Kangroo-court trials. We saw none of this zeal in the aftermath of the 1984 anti-Sikh pogrom or the ethnic cleansing of Kashmiri Pandits—given that most of the same journalists were around back then. The same Teesta Setalvad who today is trying to save face by frothing at the mouth was hollering in glee when the SC earlier described Modi as a modern-day Nero (sic). And it’s the likes of Teesta and Tehelka that the media showcases prominently. It’s their “verdict” that the media parrots as gospel truth despite the verdict of the actual courts. Would Sagarika Ghose still call for that “Need of the Hour: CV Bill” Fake the Nation charade if today’s judgment had gone against Narendra Modi?
The conclusion is inescapable: nothing stands in the way of the media, not even the highest court of the land, when it comes to ensuring that justice is always what their paymaster has defined it to mean. It’s pretty rich that every single person belonging to the media scum describe themselves as liberals and democrats while they work overtime to destroy the foundations of liberalism and democracy.
Most of the people around me are happy with this verdict. Obviously we know that post-Godhra riots were sponteneous while Godhra carnage was a conspiracy. It is absurd to prosecute a chief minister just because some envy him for his honesty, strength and courage.

An interesting study will be on the making of such media and media men/women, the money that flows through these channels. My experience is that instead of calling anybody unpatriotic it helps if a gentle nudge pushes them to seeing the obvious route of reasoning.

Hindus need to create awareness among citizens about perverted reporting by secular media, who is funded by foreign funds. In India only people in cities have access to internet. But in rural India, rate computer-literacy and internet-literacy is very low. People there watch on TV, where most of the news channels only indulge in anti-hindu propoganda. To counter it, Hindus need to create their own TV channels and inform truth to people.

With changing times media is slowly moving from being opinion makers to decision makers. What SGhose has tweeted is something what Pratap Bhanu Mehta also recently said in his weekly column in Indian Express that judiciary may be pandering to the gallery. While it may be okay to criticize judiciary in the name of freedom of speech, it’d have had a different impact had it not been for the dubious track record of our media.
I’d love to see them congratulating or praising anyone who is even remotely associated with the ‘right’ on any issue. But that won’t happen. I know it.

G, it’s the same story with liberals all over the world – they perpetually need victims – willing or unwilling – to expiate their liberal guilt. Subversion of the interests of the nation is the occupation of these liberals and the same goes with the elite Indian media.
I shudder to think what would be the state of knowledge of a educated Indian, had not the internet or social networking been an avenue to expose them and provide alternate news. But this is also the exact reason why the vermins of CONgress and media survive as the penetration of internet news and social media is still in its infancy in India and the rural and low-tier towns are yet to even explore them as an option. Until such time this large population of India learn about the subversion of democracy by media and the anti-India NGO’s, these will survive and thrive. The onus is on the ‘realized’ souls to educate them and bring them to the mainstream of nation-building.

If a bill that LEGALIZES PERSECUTION OF HINDUS is opposed then it is the result of “communal” agenda, i.e. for life and dignity of Hindus. Goes to show that Indian Communalism = Hinduism and Indian Secularism = anti-Hinduism. I wish you all the sadness in the world.
Wrong to accuse media of manufactured reactions. It’s clearly spontaneous:
1. Hindus and Sikhs tend to spontaneously combust
2. Hindu temples spontaneously disappear upon sighting of church/masjid on the same site to maintain space-time continuum.
3. From and (1) and (2), Hindus and their culture spontaneously vacate border regions to avoid ‘burning issues’
4. The communal violence bill is but a soft interpretation of Saudi/Sharia law. People who spontaneously combust are only worth 1/16 of fireproof seculars.
Barkha, Sagarika, Rajdeep, Teesta, etc. – who are these people? What is their background? We must get more insights about these people. I don’t think it’s merely the disease of left-liberalism which makes them what they are. Nor is it plain greed. How is it that they never have a freudian slip and betray their hindu sentiments? Are they really Hindus? What places of worship do they go to? What are their beliefs? Do they celebrate Holi, Deepavali or Rakshabandhan? Having a sanskrit name does not automatically imply professing Hindu Dharma. If they are not hindus, and they are anti-hindus – then how are they considered secular or , even, pseudo-secular? Why, then, are they not considered rabidly communal people?

@Nupur: As per “secular minded” people the women and children burned in the train were either burned a) by some freak accident, b) by some carelessness on their own part c) by other Hindus themselves to spark the subsequent riots d) by person or person’s unknown. It is quite nature that you think you know the truth. Every criminal thinks he is nothing but a hapless victim of circumstances or the system. Insane people, when they see people behaving normally, thinks that they are sane and the others are insane. In the same way secularist liars also need to believe that they are the exclusive custodians of the truth.
Where was the secular hand-wringing and “sadness” when the key accused, Maulvi Umarji was acquitted by the special court in the train burning incident? Was that a happy day for Indian democracy?
