So the Narendra Modi baiter extraordinaire has been suitably rewarded.
Social activists Teesta Setalvad and Shabnam Hashmi have been ‘rewarded’ by the UPA-II Government for what seems like their pro-Congress, anti-BJP activities. The HRD Ministry has nominated them in the high-powered decision making body for education in India.
Appointing Teesta to a panel that advises the government on education is like appointing Aurangzeb to manage Hindu temples. Not that the current dispensation is any different from Aurangzeb in matters that concern Hindus. Equally, this “appointment” is just the latest illustration of how the Dynasty ecosystem works. More realistically, Teesta’s nomination to the education committee under the HRD ministry is the icing—she was already part of a core group of nation-wreckers, which drafted the highly-communal Communal Violence Bill under the direction of that unconstitutional evil clique called the NAC. Thus, this appointment can be viewed as a vile elevation of sorts: it puts her in a position not just to wreck the current generation but future ones as well.
And Teesta owes this meteoric rise to achieving proximity to the Bosserina herself to exactly one thing: her relentless baiting of the Bosserina’s arch enemy, Narendra Modi.
Until 2002, nobody had ever heard of something called a Teesta Setalvad. For that matter, nobody had heard of this thing even when Hindus were roasted alive in that fateful coach of Sabarmati Express. It was only after that Chief Wrecker, Harsh Mander—now a prominent handmaid of the Bosserina—wrote that sick piece in Times of India, which gave her the wings to swoop down and begin feasting upon the dead bodies of the Muslims who died in the Gujarat riots. She since became both the CEO and Chief Legal Officer of the Gujarat Riots Cottage Industry Inc.
In her heydays, she operated on the same assumptions that our media whores and assorted Hindu-baiters do:
- Hindus won’t react and/or retaliate
- Narendra Modi will be a sitting duck—like other BJP leaders were in the past—who she can abuse at will
- Nobody will bother to check the truth of her claims
- People will quickly forget
However, what she hadn’t bargained for was the fact that every single assumption slowly turned out false and her whole grand scheme backfired. Until the Zakia judgement a few months ago, when was the last time Teesta made noises about the Gujarat riots, much less about Modi? Recall how she got extremely defensive when the court turned down her request to procure a copy of the SIT report?
Perhaps there’s no other person who has singularly distinguished herself in recent times in terms of sheer brazenness, lying, perjury, criminal intimidation, and overall vileness as this woman. Here’s a short laundry list of how she “pursued justice” for the riot victims. In short, she worked diligently and very visibly to earn these distinctions, the precise qualities you need if you want to catapult yourself to superstardom in the Congress party’s scheme of things. And there, she has achieved it: advisor to the Central Advisory Board of Education (CABE) headed by Stalin Sibal, the HRD Minister. Few people can get away with the kind of blatant illegalities she has wreaked not only upon society but the justice system itself. Yet she did because her closeness with the Bosserina’s lieutenants granted her an above-the-law status.
However, it’s intriguing that she was chosen for a position in the HRD ministry instead of say the Home ministry, where her special country-wrecking talents will be better utilized. According to sources who emailed me, Teesta was nominated at the Bosserina’s personal insistence. Which pretty much means nobody including Stalin Sibal has a say in it for the laws of Mathematics say that Bosserina > Stalin Sibal: he holds the HRD Ministry at her will. The only “notable” thing I could unearth where Teesta has waxed eloquent about education is this piece, which basically is a fraudulent tirade against the RSS and the Hindu Mahasabha. She neither has the education nor the training nor the experience nor the expertise to say anything at all about history let alone advising how or what should be taught.
One of Nehru’s lasting ugly legacies is that—despite his empty waxing at length to the contrary—education has all but been destroyed in India. If Indians achieve educational excellence, it is because of the millennia-old cultural consciousness that has put learning on an extremely lofty pedestal and not because of post-Independence Congress governments. Sanskrit proverbs such as Vidwaan sarvatra poojyate (A scholar is worshipped everywhere), and Na chorahaaryam na raajahaaryam na bhaatrubhaajyam…vidyaadhanam sarvadhanapradhanam (The wealth of knowledge is the most superior wealth of all—thieves cannot steal it, neither can a king, nor can it be divided among brothers) are way too deeply embedded in the national psyche whether we realize it or no. It is why Indians are among the first peoples to achieve educational excellence in atmospheres, which are conducive to learning. Thanks to botched up reservation policies and the rest, educational excellence in India has been achieved through the sheer dint of hard work and passion on the part of individual students. And thus, over the years, instead of being one of the star ministries, the Education ministry became something akin to a Ministry of Cooperatives and such other nonsensical ministries about which nobody cares. Which is how Marxist filth infiltrated it—only parthenium (aptly nicknamed Congress Plant) grows in a vacant and uncared for plot of land.
However, this changed when Arun Shourie exposed the villainous doings of this selfsame Marxist filth in the history department. Governments suddenly woke up to the fact that education—History, specifically –had the potential to make or break votes and began to exercise tighter control over it. Arjun Singh’s “desaffronization (sic)” project is a very illustrative case in point. However, when new findings with respect to history have come to light backed by scientific evidence, there’s only so much even the staunchest Arjun Singhs of the world can do. Yet, knowing the Congress party’s infinite capacity for unlimited evil, they might pull a Lysenko on history, paying lip service to scientific evidence: as an example, here’s a piece I wrote 3 years ago about NCERT history textbooks currently used in our schools.
Enter Teesta Setalvad. To be fair, it’s not just Teesta who is part of this “advisory panel.” Here are other notable names: Shabnam Hashmi, Shyam Benegal, Shiv Nadar (huh? why?), Ram Guha, and Vinod Dua.
When the curriculum comes up for the next revision, your guess is as good as mine as to whose “advice” would have been incorporated. The Gujarat riots would become a chapter in history textbooks if not now, at least 5 years from now. Guess how it would read especially if Teesta and Co’s recommendations are accepted? Eerily similar to the Indira Gandhi days. My Social Studies textbooks were full of Indira Gandhi propaganda—Garibi Hatao, abolition of privy purses, bank nationalization…every move of Indira Gandhi that dealt a blow to India’s civilizational ethos and every scheme of hers that impoverished India, painted as steps towards progress and prosperity.
Give the Congress another term and expect your kids to be brainwashed about Food Security Bill, Right to Education, NREGA and the rest.
