Note: This is the translation of Pratap Simha’s piece entitled Narendra Modi Haniyalu Congress Hidida Daari Yenthaaddu? that appeared in Kannada Prabha on 21 July, 2012. Translation is entirely mine and has the author’s approval.
You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may trod me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I’ll rise.Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
‘Cause I walk like I’ve got oil wells
Pumping in my living room.Just like moons and like suns,
With the certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,
Still I’ll rise.Did you want to see me broken?
Bowed head and lowered eyes?
Shoulders falling down like teardrops.
Weakened by my soulful cries.Does my haughtiness offend you?
Don’t you take it awful hard
‘Cause I laugh like I’ve got gold mines
Diggin’ in my own back yard.You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I’ll rise.
I’m always reminded of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi whenever I read this poem entitled Still I’ll Rise written by the black poetess, Maya Angelou. Although Angelou wrote this in the context of her protest against White racism, it seems to me that large portions this poem were written keeping Modi in mind. The opening lines You may write me down in history/ With your bitter, twisted lies, especially apply one hundred percent to Narendra Modi. Over the past 10 years, that is, from 2002 there’s no abuse, no allegation that’s not been hurled against Modi. No invective has been left unused while abusing him. The Congress party and its major and minor cohorts in the media have carefully indulged in a systematic campaign of Modi’s character assassination. Despite this, their efforts have gone in vain because he’s won election after election with a two-thirds majority. That’s not all. In the ensuing 2014 Lok Sabha elections, there’s every indication that he is likely to be the BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate.
If that happens—if the BJP declares Modi as their Prime Ministerial candidate, let no doubts remain that this poses the biggest danger to Rahul Gandhi.
And it is to prevent exactly a situation like this that the Congress party is working overtime. The Assembly Elections scheduled in December 2012 will witness yet another victorious Modi. It takes 92 seats to capture the 182-member Gujarat Vidhana Sabha. However, if the BJP under Modi manages to garner a tally 100, it will be portrayed as a defeat of Modi. This is why the Congress party is willing to stoop down to any level to ensure that the BJP bags a figure under 100. The media as usual, has become a willing handmaiden to aid the Congress party in its every nefarious move. However, this time around, some people have already shed light on such dirty tricks.
Madhav Nalapat’s Congress Plans Sleaze Campaign against Modi in the Sunday Guardian, Minaz Merchant’s Target Modi in the Times of India Blogs, and Aakar Patel’s Spent guns target Modi in the Express Tribute narrate the despicable road chosen by the Congress party to stop Modi at all costs.
According to Nalapat, the Congress has identified two ways to accomplish this. The first is the one it implemented in Uttarakhand and Karnataka. In these states, the Congress capitalized on the BJP’s infighting and its in-house traitors thereby wrecking the governments. In Gujarat, it has already yoked up the disgruntled BJP elements in the form of Keshubhai Patel and Kashiram Rana, and has pitted them against Modi. The second way is vile way of direct, open character assassination. More specifically, the Congress party has already readied plans to film a fake CD showing Modi engaged in the sexual act, and then to release it to the public at election time through its pliant media agents. The obvious goal is to tarnish Modi’s character and reap electoral benefit. This sleazy plan is already in operation with the assistance of a certain lady NDA office-bearer from Punjab. This lady has apparently netted a Tamil actress by buying her a flat in Chandigarh and landing her roles in two upcoming Tamil films. At the opportune time, this actress will file an affidavit stating that the Gujarat Chief Minister had sexual relations with her.
But why is the Congress party after Modi with such zeal? What is it about him that’s giving it sleepless nights?
Today, the only person who stands between Rahul Gandhi and the Prime Minister’s chair is Narendra Modi. Do you recall just one person who the entire Congress party has pursued with such a feverish determination in its long history? The argument that it is pursuing Modi because it’s concerned about Gujarat’s Muslims is shallow. One of the worst riots to hit the state in 1969 was under the Congress government led by Chief Minister Hitendra Desai. The combined death toll comprising both Hindus and Muslims was 2000. The reason? The Al Aska mosque in Jerusalem, which was pulled down in 1969. This event in some faraway country provided a convenient ruse for Muslims in Gujarat to launch an unprovoked attack on Hindus worshipping peacefully at the Jagannath temple. It’s not that the then Congress government was unaware of this fact. Historically, Hindu-Muslim riots in India have always been initiated by Muslims. This too, is a fact that the Congress party is well-acquainted with. However, it repeatedly uses the Muslim card for obvious, vote-bank reasons. In the present day, it’s using the same card to discredit Modi and quench its insatiable lust for power because it has run out of all other options. However, if we allow such divisive politics to succeed, we can only shudder at the future of this nation.
The fact is that despite numerous attempts over the last 10 years, the Congress has been unable to find even one flaw in Narendra Modi. Why?
Typically, every successful politician or leader or public figure has a team or at least one shrewd adviser who guides and advises the leader on various matters. A Chandragupta Maurya had a Chanakaya, Harihara and Bukka had Vidyaranya, Shivaji had Samarth Ramadas, Swami Vivekananda had Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, and so on. In present day politics, this applies to a Mayawati who had Satishchandra Mishra, Naveen Patnaik who had Pyaremohan Mohapatra, Mualayam Singh Yadav who had Gyaneshwar Mishra (and later Amar Singh), NTR and Chandrababu Naidu who had Ramoji Rao, Karunanidhi who had S. Guhan and Prof. Naganathan, Jayalalithaa who has Cho. Ramaswamy, and Deve Gowda, who has YSV Datta. None of these leaders took any decision without first consulting their advisors and every decision once taken, has the imprint of their advisor in some form or the other.
If this is the case—an age-old precedent—who is this one person who advises and guides Narendra Modi?
There’s no answer to this question because Narendra Modi is his own King and wise counsel. Historically, the Congress party is known to “book” such advisors and exploit the weakness of the adversary through this key person. However, despite painstaking efforts spanning a decade, the Congress party encountered a solid wall in the case of Narendra Modi because—apart from having no advisor—he is clean. Of late, the Congress has explored the avenue of trying to tarnish him through his family and relatives—for example, a relative who became rich overnight thanks to Modi’s Chief Ministership. However, even this turned out to be a dead end. The handlers and the dirty tricks department of the Congress party apparently found out that Modi isn’t in politics for selfish ends, and was forced to accept the fact that Modi’s interest lay in Gujarat’s interest. It’s left to our imagination as to the future of this nation if a man like this becomes Prime Minister.
This is the reason Narendra Damodardas Modi has captured the imagination of the Indian masses.
He comes across as an introvert. It’s hard to predict when he speaks or when he doesn’t. By himself, he’s a great strategist. In the 2007 Gujarat assembly polls, he steered the BJP to a two-thirds majority without calling in any central leader from the party to the campaign trail. This is because of the confidence that comes from demonstrating performance and delivering clean governance. Thus, it’s clear that he’s the only leader in India who can mount an effective opposition to Rahul Gandhi. Although Nitish Kumar has earned fame of being an able administrator, his reach beyond Bihar is limited. Within the BJP, the Congress hasn’t doggedly gone after its top leaders like Arun Jaitley and Sushma Swaraj even once in the last nine years. This is because the Congress doesn’t consider them as worthy political opponents. The only one who continues to bear the brunt of the Congress party’s attack is Narendra Modi.
Influential leaders across the country like Nitish Kumar, Mamata Banerjee, Chandrababu Naidu, Oommen Chandy, and Deve Gowda seem to have been busy cultivating only Muslim votes at the exclusion of everything else. Mamata Banerjee seems to be on a warpath to make the Bengal exchequer pay salaries to Mullahs. Looked at from this perspective, Modi appears to be the only politician and leader whose politics isn’t based on appeasement. This apart, Modi is one of the finest orators we have today. He has in many ways, filled the vacuum left behind by Vajpayee in terms of attracting massive crowds by the sheer strength of his oratory. The Congress has not one person who can come even light years close to this, and is understandably angry.
One of the easiest slurs to assassinate the character of a person is to brand him corrupt and a womanizer. In the 2007 Gujarat election campaign, the Congress used this wretched card—it alleged that Modi was already married and that his wife works as a school teacher. This time around, it’s outdone itself by stooping to a new low with the filming of a fake CD. And that’s not all—according to Minaz Merchant, the Congress party is pulling no stops. It has created an entire stop-Modi machinery by roping in all sorts of activists, mediapersons, and disgruntled BJP elements. However, as Maya Angelou says,
Just like moons and like suns,
With the certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,
Still I’ll rise. You may shoot me with your words,You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I’ll rise.
Let Narendra Damodar Modi rise, vanquish his opponents and lead India towards progress and prosperity.
You know what the shoot at sight order in Assam was? If Bodos are trying to kill Muslims kill them, and if Muslims are trying to kill Bodoa, join them. That is what our secular government is. Bodos, who have been living there for thousands of years, are now paying price for trusting Indians. Shame on all Indians, especiaaly of Secularist kind.
@Arvind
The reality is your IQ is low because no one in this world has ever said ZERO hindus were killed. Unlike the likes of you, most people are not concerned about the religion of those innocents who were killed. For people like us, there were innocents killed, whether they were hindus or muslims or parsis is not the issue. Having said that, let me inform you that members of one community were specifically targetted and killed mercilessly. The world knows what the VHP goons did.
On the term internet Hindus: Looks like the p-secs are too dumb to figure out how to use the internet and so they use the term ‘internet Hindus’ as a slur against anyone who uses the internet. Morons.
@Vineet,
Thanks. It was in part 3 for those who want to watch it. It starts at around 3:15 in part 3. Mahesh Jethmalani calls her out for perjury and she throws a hissy fit and after squealing and shrieking walks out (obviously she was crying and did not want her tears captured on camera).
@Menka: Your claim that ZERO Hindus were killed is a flat out lie and is based on the agenda of Scamnesty International’s claims. You are very desperate to be accepted as a member of the Whiteskinned people and so propagate the lie that 3000 Muslims ZERO Hindus were killed (that is the only way you can call it a genocide).
You also show your low IQ by not understanding the meaning of the term genocide. Genocide is when just one group of people is slaughtered on a mass scale (this is why wars and riots are ruled out). What is happening in Assam is a genocide. What happened in 1984 was a genocide led by Christians like PC Alexander, Rajiv Gandhi and Jagdish Tytler. Gujarat was a case of a riot that was started by Mohammedans who firebombed a train carrying innocent passengers.
It is interesting to note that you cheer the deaths of the passengers in the train and justify them because you are so desperate to be considered as one of the White people and seriously believe (due to your low IQ) that you can achieve this goal by imitating them. Since they talk of injustices for blacks, you believe that you need to have similar talking points to feel accepted by them. This is very idiotic.
@Vineet
No wonder the group of people known as internet hindus are also labeled as the biggest liars on planet earth. Teesta didnt run away, her connection was not working properly and when it got connected she came back. Go and check it thoroughly. Moreover, Mahesh Jethmalani was spouting lies about perjury while the Bombay high court has said there was no perjury committed by her. The same lies were earlier mentioned by that lekhi lady. It seems to be a strategy that when a lie is repeated million times, it will become truth.
@Arvind / Vineet / Anand
People are laughing at this pathetic attempt by internet hindus to compare Assam riots to the genocide of 2002. Genocide is when the government actively colludes with police and rioters to identify and kill people of a particular community. That is not the case in Assam.
Yes, agreed illegal migrants are an issue but that is the case all over the world. Even in US, mexicans enter illegally. The government of India needs to prepare a long term strategy and look into the issue. Just because thousands of people have entered illegally doesnt mean you exterminate them like mosquitoes.
btw, in Gulf many indians are living illegally. Will you want them to be killed?
Dear Arvind
The video may be on the Times Now website. It was about Namo’s interview to Urdu newspaper. You may check the video at http://www.timesnow.tv/Debate-Modi-dares-detractors—2/videoshow/4407151.cms
Not sure if she runs away in this part or previous or subsequent part.

@Vineet: “Yesterday one should have seen her run away from Arnab Goswami’s show when Mahesh Jethmalani tore her apart. ”
Can you please post either the details of what happened or a link to the video?
@sanman76: “Only fools, I repeat only fools will vote for congress.”
That is enough to guarantee a victory.
I Just wanted to prove that the same person can repeatedly post several comments again and again under several fake Id’s and accounts with several names… grow up sickulars…
THERE IS ONLY ONE HOPE- MODI.
ONLY NARENDRA MODI CAN SAVE INDIA TODAY.
JAB TAK SURAJ CHAND RAHEGA, NARENDRA MODI ZINDABAAD RAHEGA!
VOTE FOR CHANGE IN 2014- VOTE FOR DEVELOPMENT IN 2014- VOTE FOR NARENDRA MODI!
inshavishnu, NaMo will be our next prime minister!
om NaMo bhagwate vasudevai!
Congress is a gone case. They will not win in 2014. Now the whole country knows what they have done in past 8 years. Just looted the country and done nothing for its people. Price rise, corruption, riots and lots more….They are the real criminals on all fronts. Only fools, I repeat only fools will vote for congress.
Dear All,
It is very fashionable to call Gujrat Riots as Genocide, “narsanhar” etc and claim 2000-4000 Muslims(depending on mood of the “guttermouth” present) got killed and no Hindu got killed. It is very convenient to forget that Minister of State for Home has given statement in Parliament that 790 Muslims and 254 Hindus got killed. If you add the figure of 60 helpless Hindus burnt alive in Godhra the ratio of Muslims Vs Hindu deaths reaches 8:3.
As per the same source, Preventive arrests of 17,947 Hindus and 3,616 Muslims were made. In total 27,901 Hindus and 7,651 Muslims were arrested. Look at the approximate ratio of total arrests 7:2 (Hindus Vs Muslims) so if Menka and her partners can see something and much more important can understand it, which I doubt – you had a case where in rioting happened for 2-3days (hindu backlash to Godhra) in which much larger number of Hindus were arrested than Muslims.
Further – Genocide is what happened in Delhi in 1984. Zero number of Hindus died. I repeat Zero. That was Congress Vs Sikh riots and not Hindu-Sikh riots. How many got convicted? Are the main perpetrators convicted – NO
@Menka – Now coming to your point of if Modi loses elections. So what – the country will have to accept the judgment of people of Gujrat. But will Congressi/Communists/ Sickulars be able to accept the judgment if Modi wins again. History shows otherwise.
What is happening in Assam is not ethnic violence (convenient use of word) but it has seeds in communal politics of successive Congress governments in Centre and in Assam & other NE states and communist governments in NE states (whenever applicable) and in Bengal. They not only ignored by encouraged Bangladeshi Muslim infiltration. I had mentioned in other post, you have IB report warning about the demographic change a few years ago. And still people like Menka do not want to acknowledge it. Proverbial ostrich like approach.
I am sure Teesta Setalwaad Khan is idolized by Menka and her ilk. Yesterday one should have seen her run away from Arnab Goswami’s show when Mahesh Jethmalani tore her apart. She has the habit of running away from the shows claiming moral high ground when faced with uncomfortable truths about her own conduct.
Internet has given a medium to hindus to vent their feelings since the educational institutions / government bodies etc are captured by Congressi/ Nehruvian/ Communist/ Sickular combine. So is the mainstream Media.
We Hindus should give it back to likes of Menka, Mats every time and always. Not only on internet but also in public debates and ensure that we do vote in elections as a block.
@ Arvind, Anand, SP, CC and others – keep up the good work
Regards
Muslims kill bodos in Assam and it’s an “ethnic” conflict.
Muslims kill Hindus in Gujarat and Menkas all over India go orgasmic screaming about religious “minorities” being killed.
When muslims are the majority, they are an “ethnic” group.
Honorable Menka says “Let the court decide if he is guilty.”
Which court? The same court that declared Modi innocent not once but three times?
At least next time, wash your shoes before you put it in your mouth honorable Menka.
It was like music to hear, when a brave heart said that hang me if I am guilty. Now it is for SC to try him and judge.
Compare that to Rahul’s statement to SC regarding Sukanya Devi’s rape case. Need we say more?
“I am undecided though what is his bigger crime: the rape? Or letting his CM in Assam sit back and watch the fun as ISI-backed Islamist infiltrators kill native Bodos.”
Since Congress has a rich history of engineering riots, do not rule out the current riots being engineered to distract the public from the rape case. Of course, I am not saying that is the case, but think over it. When NTR was the CM of AP, riots stopped for 7 years. Then Congress returned and so did the riots.
And in Gujarat, even though Hindus died by the hundreds, Congress claims that 3000 Muslims and 0 Hindus were killed. Why? Because Mohammed Hussein Kolota who masterminded the firebombing of the train in Gujarat was a prominent Congress leader.
Comrade Menko Park.
There is a saying: no smoke without fire. The court case is a technicality.
I am undecided though what is his bigger crime: the rape? Or letting his CM in Assam sit back and watch the fun as ISI-backed Islamist infiltrators kill native Bodos.
@Menka: “How can it be compared with Gujarat Massacre wherein the police colluded with the rioters who went on a blood bath?”
Your inferiority complex and low IQ shines through for everyone to see because you are simply parroting the fabricated claims of Amnesty International. In reality your claim that 3000 Muslims and zero Hindus were killed as a result of police colluding with rioters is wrong. Many Hindus as well as Muslims were killed when police opened fire on rioters without verifying their religion.
This inferiority complex is what makes you adopt the claims of White people. You do not have to provide evidence. You already failed at it a few weeks back when you displayed that believe that these claims are true because the White males themselves say so.
@SS
Oh come on, stop this childish repartee. Go and read about Assam conflict and then come back. It is an ethnic conflict and as head of state the CM is responsible. How can it be compared with Gujarat Massacre wherein the police colluded with the rioters who went on a blood bath?
@Anand
Let the court decide if he is guilty.
@Menka,
Of course this time Great messiah of minorities will be Tarun Gogoi. I would have appreciated his courage if his heart went to real minority, I.e. Bodos. By the I am still waiting for your take on Cruel, tribal, uncivilized Bodos?
Bunch of cowards sitting in Delhi and Guahati! Do not know where their … is.
Comrade Menko Park,
Very entertaining to see you trolling people on the basis of clown prince’s campaign speeches. First let him clear himself of the rape charges, na?. Gang rape, that too.
Meanwhile, why not regale us with better jokes? For example:
Q. What kind of a guy writes a book called “Broadrunner”?
A. The guy who has a lot of experience managing “Red” light areas
@Arvind
Ofcourse you can only abuse others as comrade, commie, congress agent etc,. and similarly praise a fascist on net only.
I really feel for you since once Modi loses the election in December, where will you all go? Who will you look upto? Who will be the next messiah to massacre minorities?
I know now you will come up with Assam violence but let me enlighten you its a ethnic conflict not a religious one as was the case in 2002.
“Three ladies Ambika Soni, Teesta Stelvad and Brinda Karat wear biggest bindis, almost size of their face, on their forehead to show their Indianness, but are most anti-Hindu and anti-Indians. Wonder why?
Good observation. Funnily, the first is a Christist, the second a Mohammedan, and the third a Commie. Guess the bindi is supposed to be a mask that hides their hatred for anything Indian.
@ all
Three ladies Ambika Soni, Teesta Stelvad and Brinda Karat wear biggest bindis, almost size of their face, on their forehead to show their Indianness, but are most anti-Hindu and anti-Indians. Wonder why?
@Anup baruah
Well this problem is a result of what has been happening for Muslim votes by Congress.
Bangaldeshi Muslim infiltration should have been a major cause of concern atleast 35-40yrs ago itself.
We should be bold enough to say that Bangladeshi Muslim infiltration is a major cause for concern and take steps. BSF should kill any Bangladeshi Muslim trying to cross border after initial warning.
@Menka: “I hope you are taking notice of the thousands of people who are thronging the rallies of Keshubhai. Do you have any plans to counter this?”
Sorry, I do not follow these events and don’t care about them. None of us care about Modi or Keshubhai one way or the other. What we care about is YOUR lies and we oppose them. Suppose Keshubhai had been the CM, you would have made up lies against him and called him Hitler (remember that LK Advani was the first one to be called Hitler). Then you would have gone running to White skinned males who really massacred people of other races and tried to impress them and get accepted by them. This is solely due to your inferiority complex.
Did you see how Teesta Setalvad went running to the US Congress and accepted them as her masters? I will paraphrase what she said in the US Congress.
“Dear White skinned males. I feel soooo happy that you allow me to accept White people as the global cops and global judges and allow me to complain to you. Thank you for allowing me to stand in front of you while you are all sitting on your chairs and request you to take care of brown people whom I hate. Now do you accept me as one of you? Look, I hate Hindus and I hate India. Am I now a liberal like White skinned people?
Please White male, you are the judge of the whole world which is why I complain to you. Do you know that Hindus hatched a cunning conspiracy and killed 3000 Muslims while ZERO Hindus were killed? Did you know that Hindus killed themselves in a train to malign Islam? Yes, it is true! Do you now accept me as equal to a White skinned liberal? Look, I have copied you in attacking the majority community. Will you accept me as equal to a White skinned person?
Please, White skinned male, please come into India and solve our problems because I accept you as my superiors. Thanks in advance for being the global cop and global judge and in solving all the problems of the world!”
Congress has history of killing its leaders. Look at LBS during Indira, still a mystery. Pilot. Scindia and Prasad threatened the kingdom and bit the dust. What I am afraid is if sex CD does not work In their favour, they will not hesitate to kill Modi. With RAW, armed forces, CBI, SC, HC, Lower court judges and entire state machinery in their Pockets. I hope I do not live to see that day.
@vineet,Illegal migrants in lower assam very threatning,some of the muslim localitty fatwa issued that muslim woman should not watch tv or used mobile.But in boroland boro take a premature step to controll it.Some bodo terriosts group warned assam goverment that they didnot want any muslim in bodoland.Its most muslims who killed in riots and now some muslim group target bodos outside bodoland.This make situation worse here.
Dear Menka and Mats
One of the foremost anti-modi campaigner, Ms Teesta Setalvad Khan has just bitten dirt in Best Bakery case and you can see for yourself how she became member of NAC (anti-Modi club) got Padma Shri and read somehwere that she is one of the advisor to HRD ministry on education. What credentials she has apart from anti-Modi hate speech, false affidavits etc to be part of NAC, Padma Shri or advisor to HRD, only god can tell or may these are required by The Family in delhi (italian connection very much intended)
Whether Modi wins or loses, it is for people of Gujrat to say. What is impact of Keshubhai Patel and others, results will tell. But what is quite clear that Congress is shit scared of Modi. They are using all tricks in their dirty book to belittle him. Given the congressi culture, it seems even if his tally goes down by even 2-3 seats, they will shout from roof tops.
You may like or dislike Modi but it is good if the arguement is made on basis of some logic & reason. It is easy to blame Modi for 2002 riots, as a government head, he is incharge of the state, but was 2002 riots the only riot in Gujrat or India. What about them. Also, with so much media campaign, congress government in centre, till now nothing is found against him.
Remember 59 innocent Kar Sevaks were burnt in that ill-fated coach and the media twisted it to show that either they wanted to have some heat in Feb winter and decided to have a bonfire inside the coach or they were so bad that they picked up a muslim girl from platform or fought with muslim vendors on platforms. Your favourite Teesta had then said that they brought it upon themselves and were not innocent as they were coming from Kar Seva.
So open your eyes and ears and why you see Hindus so openly and passionately defending Hinduism because leftists/ Congressis/ Nehruvians/ Sickulars have for quite long controlled all institutions and hold the purse strings. Internet is a democratic medium and hence you see the Hindu response for which Saagarika Ghose has coined the term Internet Hindus (pls see a post on Mediacrooks.com on the Internet Hindus)
What you are seeing in Assam today is what we Hindus fear. Uncontrolled Minority Appeasement by the Congress and their ilk is going to kill our country. Also read the demogrpahic siege post in this blog to understand – why we are saying what we say.
Let both Menka and Mats come up with some facts on why they dislike Modi or anything else to englighten us and then let us counter them. Debating is a long time tradition of Sanatan Dharma and thats why we have so many schools of thought in Hinduism but quite possible both these M’s prefer the Abrahamic/Congressi/Leftist mode of “Follow it because I have said this” !!!
@Sahil
It is possible and live examples are here.
@Anand / Arvind
I hope you are taking notice of the thousands of people who are thronging the rallies of Keshubhai. Do you have any plans to counter this? Oh sorry, I forgot you are only a internet supporter. You are all too busy to go in sun and act on your words here.
Congress has very long history to play dirty politics.Other parties play do play dirty politics but no one comparable with congress.Look Ramdev aide balkrishna in jail.He is guilty or not but CBI arrest him after ramlila fast.If ramdev donot do any fast then his aide balkrishna’s all thing legal like nepali congress mp manikumar subba.We all know how congress and its investigation agency C.B.I coverup Hasan ali.If congress make a fake c.d of modi for the sake of rahulbaba then it is not at all surprising.After all dynasty above all.

what an amazing article !!! Whole country, ocean of heart and minds, is believing that the end of suffering is to make Modi the ultimate seat. People of Gujarat has seen it and hence endorsed him again n again n again. And will do it again.
Dont worry about these sick minded pseudo secular and paid media people who live on thrown left over bread (left over Rs from scams) for their existence.
@mats
You almost sound reasonable and people do call take names often… all have learned it too well from the today’s politicians and media.
However, there is no claim on anyone being a personification of pure good or evil… but if one is looking for the best administrator and yet the most detested person, it has to be Modi.
So on the percentile basis, he stands out to be the best there is today and you can deny that… not on any solid factual grounds… but one can for ever crib about 2002… as then facts are not necessarily necessary.
Menka,
You said if anyone disagrees with Modi supporters, they call names. In the same breathe, you are calling them “silly sycophants”. You see my point, accusing them of calling names, you are doing the same to them.
Also, you mentioned that they are honest and brilliant otherwise but when it comes to Modi, they lose their mind. Isn’t it possible that you are honest otherwise, but when it comes to Modi you lose your mind?
@mats,
Reacting to your egotistic and ill-informed condescension does not make us “bullies”, it makes you a jumped-up arrogant little p**** who thinks he knows it all. Thank you so much for admitting he is not the personification of evil, we are indebted to you. But pray tell, how exactly do you “know” that he is not the measure of much good? Do you know him personally? Did he steal your jelebis once when you were children? Or maybe you just read a whole bunch of carefully sculpted articles in TOIlet, the Chindu or other anti-Hindu mouthpieces and took them as gospel? The fact you are so easily influenced by the paid media shows you for what you are. When are you due at your next Congress rally?
Your use of the words “religious” and “sectarian” in the context of Modi’s politics rather unsubtly displays your unsophisticated understanding of the situation as well as your barely concealed leanings (though it is not obvious whether it is Congress, Communists, Islamists or Missionaries – could be any). You prefer to dismiss his developmental accolades as some kind of “cover” for support motivated more by fascist, sectarian sentiments, while carelessly forgetting that his progress benefits all in Gujarat, not just Hindus (yes that includes those poor downtrodden Muslims that that nasty man Modi hates so much and killed in the millions in 2002). Well if he is so strongly communal-minded, he’s doing a terrible job of it. Get him out of office!
But yes, apart from his dedication to development, his apparent incorruptibility, his humility, competence as a CM, and yes his equal treatment of all, I’ll concede that those are not the only reasons why Hindus love him. It’s also because he is not interested in stomping on everything Hindus hold most dear in order to (amongst others): (a) gain votes in order to stay in power and steal money from the Indian people; (b) sell out the country to foreign interests for some cash and a pat on the back; (c) look “secular” for the cameras so the likes of you don’t demonise him in order to reinforce your own “secular” credentials. What’s more, he’s taken everything thrown at him and come out stronger. And that’s why the likes of you and “Menka” hate him, your pretension to relative disinterest notwithstanding.
Like “Menka”, I will now be ignoring the rest of your posts.
@ Menka
Thanks god, you did not call these 500 supporters as RSS paid agents. Appreciate yor honesty. I think in Assam the cruel tribal uncivilized Bodoa are killing innocent law-abiding Muslims. What is your take?
Ironically, the reactions to my post more or less bore out the truth of what I wrote. Please grow up guys, and stop being school-boy bullies. I admit Modi is not the measure of everything evil, but I know he is not the measure of many things good. To me, he is just a powerful politician representing a religious party (may be that’s the reason, the religious agenda, why many here are devotees of Modi, and all this talk about ‘development’ etc. is just an excuse to hide the real reason).
All hype dies when overdone. Modi’s fate will be no different. Knowledge and articulation of this fact do not make me a ‘comrade’ or ‘sickular’. The lexicon which brands everyone who oppose religious or sectarian politics or Modi a communist, anti-Hindu, or congress-agent is clver but all terribly wrong, if not childish.
Let us remember Nehru, Indira, Fakruddin Ahmed, Rajiv, Sonia, Pronob, Mulayam,
Lalloo, TMC, CPI, SP, RJD, BS leaders for allowing unchecked infiltertation of terrorists from Bangladesh. Assam would not have been burning today if we had leaders like Modi. Just finished watching Arnav’s programme. One of the partcipants even mentioned that in 10 years time Assam will have a Bangladeshi as CM. ISI and Beijing have played the game very well. Now we wait for curtain to fall. Mat and Menka, I hope you watched the programme.
Comrade Mats, if Congress-Commie lunatics of the Menko Park kind didn’t make Modi a measure of everything evil, he’dn’t have, in some other people’s eyes, become a measure of everything good. This manic obsession with Modi, Menko-style, did not start with his fans; it started with his abusers. You’re that typical guy who jumps into an argument in the middle of an argument and starts blindly taking a partisan position, without an iota of understanding of how it all started.
Comrade Menko,
You are one obsessed nut, actually. Modi so owns your as* so thoroughly and comprehensively that every waking moment you’re madly obsessing about him. I bet your mind is preoccupied with Modi even when you’re having sex, if you’re having any. If you’ren’t getting paid for any of this — you don’t seem to be, the “passion” is genuine — you must be one big fool. Sometimes I find you entertaining, sometimes I pity you, sometimes I regard you with as much interest as I’d a piece of dung, and sometimes, I shall admit it, you scare me. You scare me because there’s no knowing what monomaniacal psychopaths would do. They may walk into a cinema calling themselves “the secular” for example and let loose a volley of bullets on innocent people.

Since when do planks like mats and “Menka” care about facts? As long as they’re hurting Hindus, they’re happy as a pig in mud. Why else do they keep harping on about 2002, something which has been decidedly and repeatedly neutralised as a valid source of criticism for Modi? That’s all they have to cling on to like a baby grips a comfort blanket. Eventually that blanket will lose its cohesion – until then, we have to continue to listen to their nefarious garbage. Either way, the hope is Modi will be PM in 2014 so that India can start making proper progress like she should. The dogs will continue to howl and bark but we can hope that one day soon something will shut them up for good.
@mats
There are some 500 odd such blind supporters on net. They are rational, honest and with brillant mind otherwise but when it comes to Modi, they lose their mind. They become another version of the silly sycophants in congress party. Anyone who disagrees with them on modi will be called names and their personal issues will be taken up for discussion.
Too good translation sandeepaweb. .. modige jayavaagali

Even if you prove to be right in some distant future, that does not alter the facts mentioned in the article. Do you doubt that had there been a presidential system of union government, a governer Modi would have won hands down for the presidency? And what is wrong in singing paean to a worthy leader? It is natural to all humankind in all times. From Vikramaditya to Shivaji, to Alexander, to Peter the great, to Bismark… people love strong and courageous and self-less leaders. Obviously you have not refuted the qualities mentioned in Modi. Then why abuse the author!
This article points out two very significant traits of Modi, hitherto undiscussed and unpublicised by his admirers. 1. “Modi appears to be the only politician and leader whose politics isn’t based on appeasement.” 2. “Modi is one of the finest orators we have today. He has in many ways, filled the vacuum left behind by Vajpayee in terms of attracting massive crowds by the sheer strength of his oratory. ”
Indeed, these two qualities added to his by now well-known quality “Modi’s interest lay in Gujarat’s interest” is a great winning combination for any nationwide election at the moment.
This blind and adolescent devotion, almost filial in nature, to the persona of Modi borders on the ridiculous. I am reminded of Arun Shourie’s filial devotion to VP Singh in the end of 80′s.
Is Modi the measure of all good things in the Universe? Is it as if Modi passed the ultimate test with the riots in 2002?
I am sure the gentlemen who write these articles will come to regret them when they grow up and mature in life.
Congress cannot block Modi, their efforts would only help bolster his image. So will Keshubhai’s. At a time when millions want him to be PM, a local Gujarati politician saying all kind of bad things would just irk people in favour of Modi. But, yes, real trouble may come from within the BJP itself. Either by dilly-dallying till the end or simply announcing someone else as their PM candidate. Needless to say a half-hearted endorsement of his name would also not help.
Lovely Poem
loved it.
