The time of the year when I publish an annual post reminding myself of this blog’s existence has arrived a few months early this year. When I began sometime in October 2000, I had no idea I’d be addicted to blogging for at least 5 years without a break. More importantly, I had no idea that it would morph into a powerful motive for learning. Even more importantly, I least expected that it would put me in touch with truly brilliant minds, exceptionally erudite people, and fiercely committed folks. Further more importantly, I didn’t realize that this blog was also responsible for receiving some absolutely touching feedback both in the comments section as well as in private. To everybody who made this possible, a sincere, heartfelt thanks. Please know that I shall always value you and shall remain indebted to your kindness. And no, this is not a farewell post. I’m not shutting this blog down. Perhaps the most significant turn came when I was able to finally devote all my energies towards an endeavour that will forever remain close to my heart—as clichéd as it may sound, to do my bit for this nation, which I feel still has the potential to become what it once was: a civilizational beacon, an economic powerhouse, and a philosophical giant. To that end, my friend, the good and patriotic Rajesh Jain agreed to give me space to pursue this endeavour. And so, I’ve now embarked on a journey as Assistant Editor of Niti Central, a digital media venture launched fittingly on August 15, 2012 under the stewardship of journalism-legend Kanchan Gupta. Niti Central hopes to provide the much-needed alternative, unbiased narrative, the narrative you won’t find in established mainstream media. You can post your comments on the stuff you find there, express your views and feedback. Niti Central won’t talk down to you, instead it believes in engaging and stimulating ideas and debate. Please do join me there as well!
