The Renewed Tide of Jihad against India – Part 1

Unless you are completely blind or you’re Rahul Gandhi, you would have by now realized that India has over the last two years been the victim of a renewed and vigorous tide of Jihad. This tide has lashed in several ways, affected various spheres of our life, and it continues to go on unhindered in various parts of the nation.

But first, let’s look at some random recorded facts of the past and the present.

23 August 1929: An assault was launched on the Jewish quarter of Mea Shearim in Jerusalem (now in Israel) after Friday prayers. This attack fuelled even more violent attacks against the Jews in the subsequent days in the cities of Hebron, Safed and Haifa. A total of 135 Jews were massacred.

16 Aug 1946: The Star of India, an influential Muslim newspaper edited by Raghib Ahsan, a Muslim League MLA from Calcutta published a detailed programme for the day. The programme called for a complete hartal that targeted all spheres of society: civic, commercial and industrial except essential services. The notice proclaimed that processions would start from multiple parts of CalcuttaHowrah, HooghlyMetiabruz and 24 Parganas, and would converge at the foot of the Ochterlony Monument (now known as Shaheed Minar) where a joint mass rally presided over by Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy would be held. The Muslim League branches were advised to depute three workers in every mosque in every ward to explain the League’s action plan before Juma or Friday prayers. Special prayers were also arranged in every mosque on Friday after the Juma prayers. These prayers were aimed at seeking divine blessings to liberate Muslims from Hindu India. The notice drew divine inspiration from the Quran, emphasizing on the coincidence of this day with the holy month of Ramzaan, claiming that the planned protests were an allegory of Prophet Muhammad’s conflict with heathenism and his subsequent conquest of Mecca and establishment of the kingdom of Heaven in Arabia.

7 December 1990: On Friday morning, about 200 people gathered… at around 11 a.m. and began pelting stones at the houses of members belonging to the Hindu community, besides indulging in stabbing, looting and torching houses and shop. to quell this mob, police opened fire…resulting in the death of one person and injuries to three others. In view of the seriousness of the situation, police clamped curfew at around 12.30 p.m… By this time, nearly 15 persons had been stabbed. (The Hindu, 9 December 1990)

7 December 1990: Violence in Aligarh had started when a Friday mob coming from the mosque assaulted a policeman and snatched his rifle. “The violence spread to other areas of town including AMU, which has always been a hotbed of communalism.” (Times of India, 12 December 1990)

2 May 2003: Eight Hindus were killed without provocation by a Muslim mob on 2 May 2003 at the Marad beach of the Kozhikode district, Kerala. A cache of swords and other sharp weapons, including blood-stained ones, as well as powerful country bombs is recovered from a mosque in the vicinity. (Rediff)

3 Dec 2011: Rioters attacked liquor stores, a massage parlor and hotels after being stirred up by fiery sermons in a predominantly Kurdish city in north Iraq, police officials said today. (The Independent)

14 Sep 2012: US braces for more violence in Muslim world after Friday prayers Sep 2012The
Obama administration was caught by surprise by the ferocity of the Sept. 11 attack against the US Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, which killed the ambassador and three other Americans. Now it is bracing for another potential eruption of violent demonstrations in parts of the Muslim world after Friday’s weekly prayers — traditionally a time of protest in the Middle East and North Africa. (Times of Israel)

16 November 2012: Fresh violence broke out at Charminar after Friday prayers when some people visited the Chilla. Police used tear gas and lathi charge to disperse the mob at charminar and Gulzar Houz area. The areas around Charminar resembled a war zone after Friday prayers following incidents of stone pelting followed by lath charge and tear gas firing by the police. At least 10 people, including a policeman, were injured in the violent incidents. (Newswala)

26 July 2013: Many Hindus were injured and 2 people were killed, including a Hindu woman who died when Muslim mobs rioted on late Friday. Friday is the day that Muslims hold congregational prayer called Jumu’ah, usually preceded by sermons. The violent clashes occurred in the Nagla Mal area of Meerut…It has been reported that the violence began when groups of local Muslims were upset that a Hindu temple was playing Hindu devotional songs (bhajans) and forced the loudspeaker to be shutoff while beating a few Hindu men in the temple. Police tried to control the violent mob and is looking for the rioters involved. (Chakra News)

9 August 2013: A 30-year-old man was killed, 15 people injured and many shops and vehicles gutted in Kishtwar town, 250 km from [Jammu], in clashes between two communities on Eid-ul-Fitr Friday. The trouble started when one of the many groups heading towards the town’s main ground to offer Eid prayers started shouting anti-India slogans.
(Hindustan Times)

What is the common strand that connects all these incidents of violence? No prizes for guessing the obvious—they all occurred on a Friday after the Juma (Friday) prayers. Now, prayer is supposed to give you peace of mind, it’s supposed elevate you from base passions such as anger, cruelty, and lust. The aforementioned incidents seem to demonstrate just the opposite. Which makes us wonder what is the exact nature of this prayer which turns people violent and murderous. Indeed, I’m not alone in asking this question.

  • A commentator in the 1990s, one Mr. Brelvi questioned in the Patriot on 21 December 1990: “Why does communal trouble start on Fridays after jama prayers, as in Aligarh, Hyderabad and elsewhere? How can the police succeed in flushing out the illegal arms and check the attackers without being posted on the troubled spot? Why is it that illegal arms are mostly recovered from minority areas?”
  • Rajeev Srinivasan too raises the same questions albeit in a different fashion: “almost all Muslim-initiated riots in India take place on Fridays, after the faithful have heard sermons in the local mosque. A cache of swords and other sharp weapons, including blood-stained ones, as well as powerful country bombs is recovered from a mosque in the vicinity.”
  • Most recently, Mike Huckabee, former Arkansas GOP governor, Fox News and radio talk-show host to his great detriment spake thus: “…could someone explain to me why it is that we tiptoe around a religion that promotes the most murderous mayhem around the planet on their so-called holiest days?…if you’ve kept up with the Middle East, you know that the most likely time to have an uprising of rock throwing and rioting comes on the day of prayer, on Friday. So the Muslims will go to their mosque and they will have their day of prayer and they’ll come out of there like uncorked animals throwing rocks and burning cars….the most likely times for them to erupt in some type of terrorist activity, violence, storming of an embassy, is on their holy days…”

And guess what China does to prevent such occurrences?

Uighur (Muslims) in Xinjiang are subject to a number of restrictions on worship, including a ban on anyone under 18 attending a mosque. The government also controls the appointment of imams.

This of course is a small sample. For a more detailed account of how China has so far managed to contain Islamism and how it deals with the Friday Problem, read this.

Jihad in Kishtwar

Let’s begin with the latest first. What is happening in Kishtwar even as we speak. The first thing is to call it by its proper name. What’s happening in Kishtwar is not riots or clashes. It is just one more location where the renewed Jihad against India is being carried out. Of course, the media won’t tell you this because, well, since when has the media spoken the truth? Kishtwar is the extension of what happened in the Kashmir Valley in the late ’80s, which spilled over well into the 90s. In other words, this is the beginning of perhaps another bout of ethnic cleansing of Hindus. Let’s hear it in the words of the Hindu businessmen in Kishtwar:

Few members of the minority community joined by the traders in Kishtwar today threatened to migrate if the state government did not take steps to provide them with adequate security and fully compensate their losses during violence on August 9….
the president Kishtwar Traders Association Rakesh Gupta said, “We’ll have no option but to move out of this place if the state government does not take serious steps to provide security and pay compensation to us for the losses suffered by us in the communal clashes which broke out in the town on Eid…
If the government fails to fulfill our demands, we will migrate from Kishtwar. We have been facing such attacks repeatedly. Such clashes are not a new thing for us. We have faced similar situation in 1993, 1998, 2003 and 2008, but they were of a lesser magnitude…

What too many people don’t know is the fact that the term minority is used in Jammu and Kashmir for Hindus. Indeed, we have a couple of clues that the call to wage this bout of Jihad came well in advance, that the attack against Hindus was preplanned. Here is the ex-Home Minister Kitchloo confessing the truth after he was forced to resign from his post and in the wake of the severe battering he received all over the country:

Former Jammu & Kashmir minister of state for home Sajjad Ahmed Kitchloo on Tuesday said the communal riots in Kishtwar on Eid had been planned over the past two months…It (the riots) was most certainly a pre-planned incident. Everything was being planned for the last almost two months by some elements who wanted to destroy the peace and harmony in the area.”
Kitchloo told The Indian Express in an interview.

The fact that there’s more sinister stuff than meets the eye is also revealed in the suave and sophisticated Omar Abdullah’s Stalinist behaviour in the wake of the riots. First, he did nothing to prevent the riots despite having sufficient advance information. And then he allowed the violence to reach sickening proportions and then stopped no less than the leader of the Rajya Sabha from visiting the place. As Arun Jaitley rightly remarked, J&K is not Omar’s personal fiefdom although he has proved that he is indeed, treating it like one. So who exactly is Omar Abdullah protecting and why? In fact, Omar’s anxiety was visible when he bizarrely brought up the Gujarat riots issue even as his own backyard had turned into a battle zone. Is this how a responsible Chief Minister reacts to a deadly situation where Hindus in his state are getting butchered? Even assuming Modi apologized for the 2002 riots, would that stop the rampaging Jihad-mongers in Kishtwar?

Omar might be playing vote bank politics but as far as the Jihad-instigators are concerned, it’s just another golden chance to extend Dar ul Islam by just another inch, and as we’ve seen over the last 65 years, the lambs that are slaughtered at the altar of this politics always happen to be Hindus. Indeed, a very well-read and widely travelled Kashmiri friend of mine remarked wistfully, recalling how he, like the lakhs of Kashmiri Pandits, was forced out of his own home:

Moslems forced us to leave for good was also Eid day after Ramazan. Yes, 27th April 1990. The day we ceased to have any home in Secular India.

And he said this is what the Hindus of Kishtwar are confronted with today. Indeed, when the whole Amarnath yatra controversy erupted, it should’ve been clear to people that the Jihadis had won yet another victory.

It is the same sickening story again and again and again and again and again. It can start innocuously like an altercation in the football or cricket field and turn into a riot against Hindus. Or it can start with some “grievance” against the Indian armed forces and escalate wildly out of control. Or like in this case, it can be meticulously planned, and on a Friday, after the battle-ready Jihad enthusiasts are sufficiently prepped up by all kinds of divine sermons and let loose. Recall the stone pelting in 2010. When it seemed that the riots had died down, September happened. The Koran was burnt in the US and then there was the commemoration of the September 11 attacks by the Faithful. The result? A Koran burnt in faraway US, and the Jihad in Kashmir intensified. A Christian missionary school, and several Government buildings were burnt down. In Poonch, a gas cylinder was exploded in the SDM’s office, the SDPO, the Forest, and the BDO buildings were destroyed. This is not to mention the innumerable vehicles that were destroyed. And two common themes underlying such exemplary acts: demand for separatism, and an open display of Pakistani flags. Oh, Pakistani flags were also proudly displayed in Kishtwar, a fact that our media takes pains to hide.

Jihadi-loving Indian Media

But of course, the media is only too happy to black out any such inconvenient news. On the contrary, it simply just can’t get enough of the charming and sexy Omar Abdullah who gets a stud-like treatment in the TV studios. Indeed, sources in the Delhi media circles tell me that among others, Omar is the darling, especially of some of the dumb bimbettes strutting around as anchors and journalists—see even I can do “sources” journalism! So, no tough questions. Normally, a prolonged state of anarchy like the 2010 stone pelting episode would invite some tough talk shows and furious op-eds. Lucky Omar. Gets away with it every single time. Hmpfh!

Now, change the location of the stone pelting, and place it in Gujarat. I suppose nothing further needs to be said.

We understand why the media hates Narendra Modi so viscerally. He is seen by them as anti-minority. By which yardstick, Omar Abdullah too must be anti-minority: recall that the term minority is applied to Hindus in J&K. And Hindus have been at the receiving end of minority…err…majority violence for 20 years in Kashmir. Over 700 Muslims were killed in riots in Gujarat and the entire secular establishment descended on one Chief Minister. However, a few lakh Hindus were killed and/or forced out of their own homes in Kashmir, an operation so terrible and so calculated, and not a whimper from these secularists.

Indeed, Nikhil Wagle presents a stellar example of the extent their minds are twisted. Even as Hindus were getting assaulted in Kishtwar, he claimed on Twitter that J&K is normal because Hindus still go to Vaishno Devi peacefully! The absolute cruelty of this statement apart, it actually is a testimony to the unflinching devotion of Hindus who visit Vaishno Devi despite the threat of Jihad in J&K.

Of course, you can pick hundreds of such twisted secular scum but the conclusion is inescapable: the English media loves Jihadis and by extension, enables their holy war.

    @ AK,

“Why cant they organize and be battle ready to retaliate against these jihadis”

I COMPLETELY(as u see emphasis added) agree with you. Hindus are nothing more than cry-baby morons who IMHO deserve the treatment they receive. Our scriptures have very clear, profound and terse message.

    ???? ?? ??? ????? ????? ?????? ??????: ?
    ???????????? ? ???????? ?? ?? ????? ??? ????? ?
    [????????? ?.??]

In popular culture only the line ????? ?????? ??????: is often referenced. Only if we revive our education system and start bringing in profound knowledge from traditional Hindu scriptures (such as above) we cannot expect the current or upcoming Hindu generation/society to become self-sufficient either in commerce or medicine or self-defense notwithstanding government of the day.

    mind numbing degradation of society.

countering these ideologies.Even here in the comment section
you see most of it is that of description of there encroaching

of societies and individuals having withstood these madness.

To satisfy your look out on this subject please read
      Islam:as per holy book
      Surah 2: ayat 193.
Fight against them until idolatry is no more and Allah’s religion reigns supreme.

      Surah 8: ayat 39.
Make war on them until idolatry is no more and Allah’s religion reigns supreme.

      Surah 2: ayat 216.
Fighting is obligatory for you, much as you dislike it. But you may hate a thing although it is good for you, and love a thing although it is bad for you. Allah knows, but you do not.

      Surah 9: ayat 41.
Whether unarmed or well-equipped, march on and fight for the cause of Allah, with your wealth and your persons. This will be best for you, if you but knew it,

      Surah 9: ayat 123.
Believers! make war on the infidels who dwell around you. Let them find harshness in you.

      Surah 66: ayat 9.
O Prophet! make war on the unbelievers and the hypocrites and deal sternly with them. Hell shall be their home, evil their fate.

      Surah 9: ayat 73.
O Prophet! Make war on the unbelievers and the hypocrites. Be harsh with them. Their ultimate abode is Hell, a hapless journey’s end.

      Surah 8: ayat 65.
O Prophet! Exhort the believers to fight. If there are twenty steadfast men among you, they shall vanquish two hundred; and if there are a hundred, they shall rout a thousand unbelievers, for they are devoid of understanding.

      Surah 8: ayat 66.
Now bath Allah lightened your burden, for He knoweth that there is weakness in you. So if there be of you a steadfast hundred they shall vanquish two hundred, and if there be of you a thousand steadfast they shall vanquish two thousand by permission of Allah. Allah is with the steadfast.

      Surah 47: ayats 4-15.
When you meet the unbelievers in the battlefield strike off their heads and when you have laid them low, bind your captives firmly. Then grant them their freedom or take ransom from them, until war shall lay down her armour. Thus shall you do. Had Allah willed, He could Himself have punished them (without your help); but He has ordained it thus that He might test you, the one by the other. As for those who are slain in the cause of Allah, He will not allow their works to perish. He will vouchsafe them guidance and ennoble their state; He will admit them to the Paradise He has made known to them.

Believers! if you help Allah, Allah will help you and make you strong. But the unbelievers shall be consigned to perdition. He will bring their deeds to nothing. Because they have opposed His revelations, He will frustrate their works… Allah is the protector of the faithful; unbelievers have no protector. Allah will admit those who embrace the true faith to gardens watered by running streams. The unbelievers take their full of pleasure and eat as the beasts eat; but Hell shall be their home… They shall abide in Hell for ever and drink scalding water which will tear their bowels.

      Surah 8: ayat 12.
I shall cast terror into the hearts of the infidels. Strike off their heads, maim them in every limb.

      Surah 69: ayats 30-33.
We shall say, ‘Lay hold of him and bind him. Bum him in the fire of Hell, then fasten him with a chain seventy cubits long. For he did not believe in Allah, the Most High.

      Surah 8: ayats 15-18.
Believers! when you encounter the armies of the infidels do not turn your backs to them in flight. If anyone on that day turns his back to them, except it be for tactical reasons, or to join another band, he shall incur the wrath of Allah and Hell shall be his home: an evil fate.

It was not you, but Allah, who slew them. It was not you who smote them; Allah smote them so that He might richly reward the faithful. He hears all and knows all. He will surely thwart the designs of the unbelievers.

      Surah 25: ayat 52.
Do not yield to the unbelievers, but fight them strenuously with this Koran.

      Surah 9: ayat 39.
If you do not fight He will punish you sternly and replace you by other men…

      Surah 9: ayat 111.
Allah has purchased of the faithful their lives and worldly goods and in return has promised them the Garden. They will fight for His cause, slay and be slain. Such is the true pledge which He has made them in the Torah, the Gospel and the Koran. And who is more true to His promise than Allah? Rejoice then in the bargain you have made. That is the supreme triumph.

      Surah 3: ayats 169-171.
You must not think that those who were slain in the cause of Allah are dead. They are alive, and well provided for by their Lord; pleased with His gifts and rejoicing that those whom they left behind and who have not yet joined them have nothing to fear or to regret; rejoicing in Allah’s grace and bounty. Allah will not deny the faithful their reward.

      Surah 4: ayat 100.
He that flies his homeland for the cause of Allah shall find numerous places of refuge in the land and great abundance. He that leaves his dwelling to fight for Allah and His apostle and is then overtaken by death, shall be rewarded by Allah. Allah is forgiving and merciful.

      Surah 48: ayat 29.
Muhammad is Allah’s apostle. Those who follow him are ruthless to the unbelievers but merciful to one another… Through them Allah seeks to enrage the unbelievers.

      Surah 49: ayat 15.
The true believers are those that have faith in Allah and His apostle and never doubt; and who fight for His cause with their wealth and persons. Such are those whose faith is true.

      Surah 2: ayat 154.
Do not say that those who were slain in the cause of Allah are dead; they are alive, although you are not aware of them.

      Surah 3: ayats 157-158.
If you should die or be slain in the cause of Allah, His forgiveness and His mercy would surely be better than all the riches they amass. If you should die or be slain, before Him you shall all be gathered.

      Surah 8: ayats 59-60.
Let the unbelievers not think that they will escape Us. They have not the power to do so. Muster against them all the men and cavalry at your disposal, so that you may strike terror into the enemies of Allah and the faithful, and others besides them. All that you give for the cause of Allah shall be repaid you. You shall not be wronged.

      Surah 9: ayats 2-3.
…Allah will humble the unbelievers… Allah and His apostle are free from obligation to the idol-worshippers… Proclaim a woeful punishment to the unbelievers.

      Surah 9: ayat 29.
Fight against such of those to whom the Scriptures were given as believe neither in Allah nor the Last Day, who do not forbid what Allah and His apostle have forbidden, and do not embrace the true faith, until they pay tribute out of hand and are utterly subdued.

      Surah 8: ayat 67.
It is not for any Prophet to have captives until he has made slaughter in the land…

      Surah 4: ayat 84.
So fight for the cause of Allah. You are accountable for none but yourself. Rouse the faithful; perchance Allah will defeat the unbelievers. He is mightier and more truculent than they.

      Surah 29: ayat 6.
He that fights for Allah’s cause fights for himself…

      Surah 29: ayat 69.
Those that fight for Our cause We will surely guide to our own paths. Allah is with the righteous.

      Surah 61: ayats 9-13.
It is He who has sent His messenger with the guidance and the Religion of Truth, so that He may make it the conqueror of all religions, much as the idol-worshippers may dislike it.

Believers! Shall I point out to you a profitable course that will save you from a woeful scourge? Have faith in Allah and His apostle and fight for His cause with your wealth and your persons. That would be best for you, if you but knew it. He will forgive you your sins and admit you to gardens watered by running streams; He will lodge you in pleasant mansions in the gardens of Eden. That is the supreme triumph.

      Surah 9: ayat 36.
Allah ordained the months twelve in number when He created the Heavens and the earth. Of these four (Dhi-Qa’ada, Dhul-Hajja, Muharram and Rajab) are sacred according to the true faith. Therefore do not sin against yourselves by violating them. But you may fight against the idolaters in all these months since they themselves fight against you in all of them. Know that Allah is with the righteous.

      Surah 9: ayat 5.
When the sacred months are over slay the idol-worshippers wherever you find them. Arrest them, besiege them, and lie in ambush everywhere for them. If they repent and take to prayer and pay the alms-tax, let them go their way. Allah is forgiving and merciful.

      Surah 9: ayat 14.
Fight them! Allah will chastise them at your hands, and He will lay them low and give you victory over them, and He will heal the breasts of folk who are believers.

      Surah 9: ayats 20-22.
Those that have embraced the faith and fled their homes and fought for Allah’s cause with their wealth and their persons are held in higher regard by Allah. It is they who shall triumph. Their Lord has promised them joy and mercy, and gardens of eternal pleasures where they shall dwell for ever. Allah’s reward is great indeed.

      Surah 4: ayats 95-96.
The believers who stay at home – apart from those that suffer from a grave impediment – are not equal to those -who fight for the cause of Allah with their goods and their persons. Allah has given those that fight with their goods and their persons a higher rank than those who stay at home. He has promised all a good reward: but far richer is the recompense of those who fight for Him: rank of His own bestowal, forgiveness, and mercy. Allah is forgiving and merciful.

      Surah 8: ayats 72-74.
Those that have embraced the faith and fled their homes, fought for the cause of Allah with their wealth and their persons; and those that sheltered them and helped them, shall be friends to each other… they are the true believers. They shall receive mercy and generous provision.

      Surah 3: ayat 142.
Did you suppose that you would enter Paradise before Allah has proved the men who fought for Him and endured with fortitude?

Sayings of ‘Koran’ which Promote, on Grounds of Religion,
Feeling of Enmity, Hatred and Ill-Will between different
      Religious Communities in India

      Surah 4: ayat 101.
It is not offence for you to shorten your prayers when travelling the road if you fear that the unbelievers may attack you. The unbelievers are your sworn enemies.

      Surah 60: ayat 4.
…We renounce you (i.e. the idolaters): enmity and hate shall reign between us until you believe in Allah only…

      Surah 58: ayat 23.
You shall find no believers in Allah and the Last Day on friendly terms with those who oppose Allah and His apostle, even though they be their fathers, their sons, their brothers, or their nearest kindred…

      Surah 9: ayat 7.
Allah and His apostle repose no trust in idolaters…

      Surah 8: ayats 13-14.
Thus We punished them because they defied Allah and His apostle. He that defies Allah and His apostle shall be sternly punished. We said to them, ‘Feel Our scourge. Hell-fire awaits the unbelievers.’

      Surah 8: ayat 55.
The basest creatures in the sight of Allah are the faithless who will not believe…

      Surah 25: ayat 55.
Yet the unbelievers worship idols which can neither help nor harm them. Surely the unbeliever is his Lord’s enemy.

      Surah 5: ayat 72.
…He that worships other Gods besides Allah shall be forbidden Paradise and shall be cast into the fire of Hell. None shall help the evil-doers.

      Surah 9: ayat 23.
Believers! do not befriend your fathers or your brothers if they choose unbelief in preference to faith. Wrong-doers are those that befriend them.

      Surah 9: ayat 28.
Believers! know that the idolaters are unclean…

      Surah 3: ayat 28.
Let believers not make friends with infidels in preference to the faithful; he that does this has nothing to hope for from Allah – except in self-defence. Allah admonishes you to fear Him; for to Him you shall all return.

      Surah 3: ayat 118.
Believers! do not make friends with any men other than your own people. They will spare no pains to corrupt you. They desire nothing but your ruin. Their hatred is clear from what they say, but more violent is the hatred which their breasts conceal…

      Surah 4 ayat 144.
Believers! do not choose the infidels rather than the faithful for your friends. Would you give Allah a clear proof against yourselves?

      Surah 5: ayat 14.
…Therefore, We stirred among them (i.e. the Christians) enmity and hatred, which shall endure till the Day of Resurrection, when Allah will declare to them all that they have done.

      Surah 5: ayat 64.
…That which Allah has revealed to you will surely increase the wickedness and unbelief of many of them (i.e. the Jews). We have stirred among them (i.e. the Jews) enmity and hatred, which will endure till the Day of Resurrection…

      Surah 5: ayat 18.
The Jews and the Christians say, ‘We are the children of Allah and His loved ones.’ Say: ‘Why then does He punish you for your sins?’…

      Surah 5: ayat 51.
Believers! take neither Jews nor Christians for your friends. They are friends with one another. Whoever of you seeks their friendship shall become one of their number. Allah does not guide the wrong-doers.

Sayings of ‘Koran’ which Insult other Religions as also the
Religious Beliefs of other Communities in India

      Surah 5: ayat 17.
Unbelievers are those who declare: ‘Allah is the Messiah (i.e. Christ), the son of Mary.’ Say: ‘Who could prevent Allah from destroying the Messiah (i.e. Christ), the son of Mary, together with his mother and all the people of the earth?’…

      Surah 4: ayat 157.
They denied the truth and uttered a monstrous falsehood against Mary. They declared: ‘We have put to death the Messiah Jesus, the son of Mary, the apostle of Allah.’ They did not kill him, nor did they crucify him, but they thought they did.

      Surah 5: ayats 116-118.
Then Allah will say, ‘Jesus, son of Mary, did you ever say to mankind: “Worship me and my mother as Gods beside Allah?’ ‘Glory to You,’ he will answer, ‘how could I say that to which I have no right? If I had ever said so, You would have surely known it. You know what is in my mind, but I cannot tell what is in Yours. You alone know what is hidden. I spoke to them of nothing except what You bade me. I said, “Serve Allah, my Lord and your Lord.” I watched over them whilst living in their midst, and ever since You took me to You, You Yourself have been watching over them. You are the witness of all things. They are Your own bondsmen: it is for You to punish or to forgive them. You are the Mighty, the Wise one.’

      Surah 98: ayat 6.
The unbelievers among the people of the Book (i.e. Christians and Jews) and the pagans shall bum for ever in the fire of Hell. They are the vilest of all creatures.

      Surah 68: ayats 8-13.
Give no heed to the disbelievers: they desire you to overlook their doings that they may overlook yours. Nor yield to the wretch of many oaths, the mischief-making slanderer, the opponent of good, the wicked transgressor, the bully who is of doubtful birth to boot.

      Surah 38: ayats 55-57.
…But doleful shall be the return of the transgressors. They shall bum in the fire of Hell, a dismal resting-place. There let them taste their drink: scalding water, festering blood and other putrid things.

      Surah 22: ayats 19-21.
…Garments of fire have been prepared for unbelievers. Scalding water shall be poured upon their heads, melting their skins and that which is in their bellies. They shall be lashed with red iron.

      Surah 22: ayats 56-57.
…Those that have embraced the true faith and done good works shall enter the gardens of delight, but the unbelievers who have denied Our revelations shall receive an ignominious punishment.

      Surah 5: ayats 36.
As for the unbelievers, if they offered all that the earth contains and as much besides to redeem themselves from the torment of the Day of Resurrection it shall not be accepted from them. Theirs shall be a woeful punishment.

      Surah 15: ayats 2.
The day will surely come when the unbelievers will wish that they were Muslims.

      Surah 72: ayats 14-15.
Some of us are Muslims and some are wrong-doers. Those that embrace Islam pursue the right path; but those that do wrong (of not embracing Islam) shall become the fuel of fire.

      Surah 41: ayat 33.
And who speaks better than he who calls others to the service of Allah, does what is right, and says: ‘I am a Muslim?’

      Surah: 4 ayat 125.
And who has a nobler religion than the man who surrenders himself to Allah?…

      Surah 25: ayats 27-29.
On that day the wrong-doer will bite his hands and say, ‘Would that I had walked in the Apostle’s path. Oh, would that I had never chosen so-and-so for my companion: It was he that made me disbelieve in Allah’s warning after it had reached me.’ Satan is ever treacherous to man.

      Surah 26: ayats 96-99.
“By Allah”, they will say to their idols, as they contend with them, “we erred indeed when we made you equals with the Lord of the Creation. It was the evil-doers who led us astray.”

      Surah 3: ayat 85.
He that chooses a religion other than Islam, it will not be accepted from him and in the world to come he will be one of the lost.

      Surah 8: ayat 38.
Tell the unbelievers that if they mend their ways (i.e. embrace Islam) their past shall be forgiven: but if they persist in sin (i.e. idol-worshipping) let them reflect upon the fate of their forefathers.

      Surah 31: ayat 13.
Luqman admonished his son. ‘My son’, he said, ‘serve no other God instead of Allah, for idolatry is an abominable sin.’

      Surah 29: ayats 41-42.
The false Gods which the idolaters serve besides Allah may be compared to the spider’s cobweb. Surely, the spider’s is the frailest of all dwellings, if they but know it. Allah knows what they invoke besides Him; He is the Mighty, the Wise one.

      Surah 37: ayats 22-25.
But We shall say: ‘Call the sinners, their wives, and the idols which they worshipped besides Allah and lead them to the path of Hell. Keep them there for questioning – But what has come over you that you cannot help one another?’

      Surah 37: ayats 26-32.
On that day they will all submit to Allah. They will reproach each other, saying: ‘You have imposed upon us. It was you who would not be believers. We had no power over ‘ you; you were sinners all. Just is the verdict which our Lord has passed upon us, we shall surely taste His punishment. We misled you, but we ourselves have been misled.’

      Surah 25: ayats 17-19.
On that day when He assembles them with all their idols, He will say: ‘Was it you who misled My servants, or did they wilfully go astray?’ They will answer: ‘Allah forbid that we should choose other guardians besides You. You gave them and their fathers the good things of life, so that they forgot Your warnings and thus incurred destruction.’ Then to the idolaters Allah will say: ‘Your idols have denied your charges. They cannot avert your doom, nor can they help you. Those of you who have done wrong shall be sternly punished.’

      Surah 7: ayat 173.
‘Our forefathers were indeed, idolaters; but will You destroy us, their descendants, on account of what the followers of falsehood did?’

      Surah 21: ayats 66-67.
He (Abraham) answered: ‘Would you then worship that, instead of Allah, which can neither help nor harm you? Shame on you and on your idols: Have you no sense?’

      Surah 21: ayats 98-100.
You and all your idols shall be the fuel of Hell: therein you shall all go down. Were they true Gods, yours idols would not go there: but in it they shall abide for ever. They shall groan with pain and be bereft of hearing.

      Surah 16: ayats 20-21.
But the false Gods which infidels invoke create nothing: they are themselves created. They are dead, not living, nor do they know when they will be raised to life.

      Surah 6: ayats 22-23.
On that day when We gather them all together We shall say to the idolaters: ‘Where are your idols now, those whom you supposed to be your Gods?’ They will not argue, but will say: ‘By Allah, our Lord, we have never worshipped idols.’

      Surah 6: ayats 40-41.
Say: ‘When Allah’s scourge smites you and the Hour of Doom suddenly overtakes you, will you call on any but Allah to help you? Answer me, if you are men of truth: No, on Him alone you will call; and if He please, He will relieve your affliction. Then you will forget your idols.’

      Surah 6: ayat 148:
…The idolaters will say: “Had Allah pleased neither we nor our fathers would have served other Gods besides Him.’…

      Surah 2: ayat 221.
You shall not wed pagan women, unless they embrace the faith. A believing slave-girl is better than an idolatress, although she may please you. Nor shall you wed idolaters unless they embrace the faith. A believing slave is better than an idolater, although he may please you. These call you to Hell-fire, but Allah calls you, by His will, to paradise and to forgiveness. He makes plain His revelations to mankind, so that they may take heed.

      Surah 24: ayat 3.
The adulterer may marry only an adulteress or an idolatress; and adulteress may marry only an adulterer or an idolater. True believers are forbidden such marriages.

Speaking of Keyserling, an insane relative of Count Keyserling who was a part of the white Russian army is the founder of modern day Mongolia. Keyserling referred to him as suspended between heaven and hell…Without him, the Chinese would be occupying Mongolia today. This mad fellow is regarded as a hero by people in Mongolia, the story is told in the book “The Bloody White Baron”….

Wow you have read count Keyserling! I am impressed as it is not a well known book. The travel diary of a philosopher is full of many amazing observations. Keyserling “gets” Hinduism in general, although not in all its particularities, especially the parts where he says Hindus have no concept of romantic love and so on….Even in Europe such a thing did not exist but came from the troubadours…Apart from details, his book is wonderful to read, back then people did not write to please the public, but just penned their thoughts which is why the book is so great to read, no political correctness so one gets a complete picture of the man as he is honest about his opinions! His observations about China and America is also amazing. Yes his is the view of a Prussian aristocrat and limited in its own way but his writings are fascinating to read!

School children in a UP village attacked with sharp weapons for singing Vande Mataram on Independence Day. It is not hard to guess the identity of the perpetrators — these must be the nationalist Muslims that Nehru kept telling us Hindus about.

This militarization of everyday Muslim life was noticed with keen interest by Count Keyserling (1880-1946 CE) during his travels in Islamic countries. He summed up his over-all impression in his The Travel Diary of a Philosopher. “Islam is a religion,” he wrote, “of absolute surrender and submissiveness to God – but to a God of a certain character – a War-Lord who is entitled to do with us as he will and who bids us stand ever in line of battle against the foe… The ritual of this belief embodies the idea of discipline. When the true believers every day at fixed hours perform their prayers in serried ranks in the mosque, all going through the same gestures at the same moment, this is not, as in Hinduism, done as a method of self-realization, but in the spirit in which the Prussian soldier defiled before his Kaiser. This military basis of Islam explains all the essential virtues of the Musalman. It also explains his fundamental defects – his unprogressiveness, his incapacity to adapt himself, his lack of invention. The soldier has simply to obey orders. All the rest is the affair of Allah.” “In the early days of Islam”, writes Professor K.S. Lal, “the main features of the Friday service were prayers in congregation with worshippers standing in straight linear rows. Attendance was compulsory and military discipline was maintained. The sermon was like the order of the day; it comprised advice, reprimand and directions on religious and political obligations of the faithful. A sense of awe pervaded – raising the number of worshippers…” Small wonder that great importance is attached to congregational or Friday prayers in Islam. “The ahadis declare that namaz said in congregation is twenty-five times superior to namaz said alone at home. Muhammad was very strict about attendance in congregational prayer.”4 The Prophet is reported to have said that he felt like burning down the houses of those who did not attend the Friday prayers. In the history of Islam in India, Friday “sermons result in working up the feelings of the namazis, and sabre-rattling and street riots generally take place on Friday after the afternoon prayers”

Well the Kashmiri Pandits mostly argue amongst themselves. Perhaps this sums up why they are not effective, they all want to be leaders and all argue amongst themselves, many have huge egos that get in the way. So how can they be effective when they are not united as a community? Contrast this with the organization of south Indians or Gujratis abroad…Perhaps being under Muslim domination causes Kashmiris to produce no leadership qualities but only the likes of Nehru and the contemporary Katju. Just my humble observations from marriage to a Kashmiri. Also many of them are scattered now, hard to have a community when you no longer have your home. Also they are few in numbers, around 400000 roughly. Also being refugees has ruined many of them especially the ones who lived off their land. I think they can do well in academic disciplines but being an oppressed people for hundreds of years as a minority must take a toll in terms of leadership qualities.

  9. August 16, 2013 at 11:32 AM

Perfect analysis… only that majority refuses to see it and thereby never addressess the root cause of the problems. this is obsolutely scary… little progress everyday towards the centre of the country will envelope the entire country in 50 years… what are we going to answer our next generation when they ask us what we were we doing?

Sandeep, this is Absolutely true. The dirtiest of all wars is Jihad and it is being sponsored by some minorities across the country which is a shame on them, their civilization & the culture they have developed for themselves – specially in present day world!!

Always, one’s actions show one’s culture and those who are sponsoring such heinous acts doesnt deserve to be called as humans and hence to be treated so by law and executive body of India. Sad that all the parties in india are busy doing vote bank politics :-(

Good questions you have there.Just think of it,even the kashmiri pandits have not formed a cohesive group ,outside there state. What is that they lack?
why could not they form one group for their own sake?what will bring them together?who will take the lead?and so on…

I had the opportunity to see the movie ” a woman called Golda” a very inspirational movie and picturized well, with no frills. It is best to say a very earthy movie.

After watching that film,it is my observation however small that community becomes they have hope of reclaiming what they lost. But then they have to move mountains change the course of rivers and who knows they have to burn the earth. That is the price for getting back what they lost.

Is there a way for people in difficult surroundings to overcome the hardships of sporadic violence and mayhem? Is there a quick fix?what does it require to mitigate those hardships in living in such areas.

For an immediate relief they have to pick and grow leaders amongst themselves.

Brilliant stuff…I have one Q though…After the KP exodus of the 90s , havent the hindus in Jammu and elsewhere in J&K learnt nothing at all? Why cant they organize and be battle ready to retaliate against these jihadis…Expecting anything from Omar Abdullah Govt will be foolish. His Govt will willfully supoort the jihadis anyday.
Hindus, especially living in such hostile places must unite ,organize and always be battle ready. The least they can do is take out their cameras and take videos when such riots happen.

Had it not been for the few images , our MSM would have happily buried he Kishtwar news under teh carpet
